I came across a series of articles by David Langness about the fate of Baha'is living in Germany under the regime of Adolf Hitler .... this has been little known by me until recently and so thought I would share it here...

BahaiTeachings.org managing editor David Langness tells the riveting, powerful story of the Baha'i community in Europe during the reign of the Nazis. The Nazi regime outlawed the Baha'i Faith in 1937, put the Baha’is on trial and sent many to their death in the concentration camps—but no matter how hard they tried, they could never exterminate Baha’u’llah’s mission to establish love, hope, and the unity of humanity.

If you would like to read more on this subject check out David Langness' 17 part series Baha'is and Nazis.Listen to the podcast on SoundCloud.

These are terrible, dark pages in the history of my country.

Nowadays, we know what fascism looks like, what it is, what it does, how it murders.

It is good to be watchful, and to oppose it wherever it tries to gain credibility and power. Never again fascism.

The Nazi period was a horror. To be fair it must be said that Hitler did not finally succeed in stamping out Judaism, or gypsies or homosexuals either?
