"Now" is relative, meaning it doesn't really exist as a hard, concrete thing in Einstein's thought, because there is always some perspective from which time appears differently. This inability to agree on the same now is called the relativity of simultaneity. In practical terms this means that from one perspective Alexander the Great is dead, but from someone else's perspective he is still alive! The same applies to you and me according to special relativity.
