The lies of the religious are tiresome. "Science is only about facts", "Science can't explain why", "Science is dogma", "Science is nihilistic", "blah, blah"....these are all defensive mechanisms to protect delusional thinking. Enough already.

Maybe in a utopian society. The truth is that most science isn't based on facts. It's supported by $$$$$$. Just ask the sugar industry. Or pharmaceutical companies. I recently had lunch with a friend of mine who is a scientist. Her job is to find science to support the claims of the company she works for. Any findings that she finds that go against the claims of the company must be discarded. I won't tell you which company she works for, but if you're a scientist you aren't going to do much research without money. So you had better get used to making your research agree with your funding.
