After long illness, parkinsonism. Was being fed by a tube to the stomach. Was immobile. And he was once the strongest of the family and handsome as well, very blue eyes, more than mine which take a greenish tinge.
Relief for him and his family. We lived together for 50 years. Our sons have gone to Haridwar (125 m.) to immerse the ashes.
I won't want that. Perhaps immersion (of my ashes) in a nearly Ganges bank (Garh Mukteshwar, 57 m away) will be enough for me.

I am so sorry for your loss, my deepest condolences.

My condolences...
When someone we treasure becomes a memory, our memories become a treasure.
Treasures and the owners of treasures are all illusionary. How long can I hold my treasures? :)
Thanks, Wil and Thomas. 80 years and 50 of them living together.
BTW, my wife lived with her parents for 20 years and lived with my mother for the next 55 years.

How long can you hold memories?

Till ya can't I suppose.

But then again as we see young children playing mozart....maybe longer than we think.
Or discovering games/toys that we played with/on as children, yelling for us to watch them (like we did as chilren to our grand/parents, eh?)
