Technology to empower those with disabilities

With all of the technology we are creating, I hope that some day my daughter will somehow be able to walk. We're getting there. I just hope I'm alive to see it.
 
It's not the technology, it's the implementation of it that can be a problem. For example, YouTube starts with tiny subtitles - there used to be a single link to options to increase it, but now you have to navigate through a complete link tree to find the option to increase text size. It's really poor accessibility.

That's technology on the whole - an overly complex navigation that is not self evident and can take ages to learn.
I am not sure whether increasing screen size helps with subtitles (control +)
