For some reason, folks struggle with trying to understand just what the Forbidden Fruit was in the Garden of Eden. This is unusual since said 'fruit' has been described in the Book of Revelation all along:

Revelation 17:4 - And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

The contents are literal. All have partaken. How? You should know the answer.

It is how we were conceived into this world. The golden cup is symbolic of the fertilized egg, i.e., the zygote we clothed ourselves with.

The more you know. :)

Who fertilized the egg? Satan of course:

John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The bolded is literal as well. Who can receive it?

Nero is the beast eh?

I am not a Preterist if that is what you mean.

As for the name of the Beast, I believe the name is 'Cain' which derived from the word 'gotten' which means 'to buy and sell'.

Genesis 4:1 - And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

Eve 'paid the ultimate price' to have Cain. She named him after this process. There is much to unpack with the above verse.

This makes little sense to me: I have never heard of a golden cup being referred to as a zygote, let alone a zygote ever being described as a fruit or as clothing.

Your symbolism seems a very confused mix of ancient, NT, and modern concepts put together in a way they were never intended. You quote a passage from Revelation which doesn't even appear to be about fruit.

If you want to understand the symbolism of Genesis you need to at least stick with the original Jewish ideas, or even look more widely at contemporary symbolism.

Thanks @iBrian . It sounds like there is no point in helping you understand as you seem to have made up your mind that I am ignorant. No biggie. There are plenty of folks that do understand and have thanked me for the research.

In order to know what is the fruit, I guess will be better to find out who is this woman.

This harlot enjoys power, flirts with the greatest of the nations. It's geographical location is given. And it says this harlots is mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.

The first question is to find what religion based on the scriptures have enjoyed such power throughout centuries between the people of Israel. Having that the tribes of Israel migrated to the land know today as Europe.

From here, from this harlot, several daughters came out. The second question is to find what religions have inherited the abominations of the harlot mother. Let's say, these religions must disobey or discard the law of God, these religions must celebrate pagan feasts, let's say Easter, Christmas, etc. These daughters, the other prostitutes, will also change the doctrines manipulating their meaning in order to continue the perverted doctrines of the mother.

Then we have a picture of the harlot mother, the one who sits over seven hills and also the picture of her daughters, the prostitutes who will praise the biblical god but won't obey his commandments.

From here, when this harlot has been finally identified, it might open the door to know what is inside of the golden cup she holds in her hand.

All along? Weren't Genesis and Revelation over five centuries apart?

Are you two "established" in the past few week "members" from the same church, belief system, or body?

This is a variation of the cut-n-paste editing as a means of interpreting or unlocking a sacred text.

Suffice to say that given enough words and numbers as there are in the Bible, one can spin any message one might care to choose.

Then confirmation bias comes into play.
