I was not sure where to ask question regarding site navigation or personal preferances. How do I edit my profile or change my signature etc?

Re: Questions

Actually, that's a good question - if you look at the navigation bar above this thread, it has a link for "User CP" - which is short for "User Control Panel" - here's the link:
http://www.comparative-religion.com/forum/usercp.php?

If you click on that then it presents you with a new navigation for editing certain aspects of your personal profile.

If you want to do so more quickly then along the bar from "User CP" there are other links, such as "Code of Conduct", "Memberlist", "Calendar" ... going across to "Quicklinks" - click on "Quick Links" and it will should show a dropdown menu with many of those links already on.

Anyway, hope this is useful for reference purposes. :)

I can't find any option to allow me to edit my signature line. How do I do that?

Regards,
Scott

Can you see signature lines? I've not been able to see mine or anyone else's in quite a long time. I think the option to change it is in the user CP but as I said, this has been disabled for a while.

Signatures were disabled a long time ago, to help keep the threads reading more smoothly.

There's an enhancement coming to the forum software, though, that should allow members to make their member profile page a lot more personalised, though. :)

I used to prefer milk chocolate, but now I prefer plain.

Wouldn't it be nice to click a mouse and change our personal preferences?

Say for someone who no longer wants to be gay....or hetero:eek:

Or say for someone who would like to give up their racist tendencies...

Or someone who'd like to reduce their food addiction...

Let's see, I'll click on fruits and veggies instead of chips and sourcream...

I'll click on treating others with respect.

Let us check the box for taking ten deep breaths before we respond to a post...

I brian, please work on that preferences page and get us the new version....
