It hasn't gotten a whole lot of English press. These are the only two articles I've found on it:
Conservative Movement launches new wedding campaign | Jerusalem Post
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3556196,00.html
Basically, religious rights for non-orthodox Jews in Israel aren't always very good. There are certain aspects of the religion that are controlled by the right-wing orthodox authority. Matters related to divorce, marriage and conversion are all regulated by the rabbinate. Even the flow of funding and grants is diverted more toward Orthodox institutions than those of other movements.
There has been a push by the conservative movement in israel, the masorti movement, for recognition of its marriages. They've launched a massive campaign.
If you check the comments on both of those articles you can see how heated of an issue giving equal recognition to the other Jewish movements is in Israel.
