ANSWERING PRYERS: Why is it when one prays God might or might not give what you ask for. Well it all comes down to one thing, God's Will. If one believe's scripture and scripture says God is all sovereign (the chief of state in a monarchy. Adj.1-Supreme, 2- Independent (soverignty). If one believes that God is a sovereign God and God's Will, will always be done no matter what, then only if what you are praying for is in God's Will to begin with it will be given to you. Your prayers will always be answered to your satisfaction if you pray that Gods Will will be done over your own will. There's no choice in the matter, God's Will will always be done. So when you get that feeling that you want to pray be thrilled because God is getting ready to bless you. God does not change. This is scripture. So therefore if God did not want to give you something that you are asking for in prayer, no matter how hard or how many times you pray for this it will not change God's mind. No human has ever changed God's mind in the history of mankind. Now the Bible has stories that would make it sound that God has changed His mind on certain things but He never changed His mind. It was always in His Will to begin with. One example is when God was going to destroy Sodom and Gamorra. Abraham asked God if he found 100 people who were righteous would God spare the cities. God said yes. Then He asked if he could find 50 would He spare the cities? God said yes Anyway Abraham seemed to dicker God all the way down to 5 or 10 righteous people and the Lord would spare the cities. NO Abraham did not bargin with God. God already knew that Abraham would do what he did. God already knew that there was not even 5 or 10 righteous people in the two cities. So God's Will was done not Abraham's. Remember God knows the end from the beginning. This is scripture.

nice one i liked reading that :) and Jehovah sure is the hearer of prayer

The "Hearer of Prayer." The entire Scriptural record testifies that Jehovah is the One to whom prayer should be directed (Ps 5:1, 2; Mt 6:9),

that he is the "Hearer of prayer" (Ps 65:2; 66:19)

and has power to act in behalf of the petitioners. (Mr 11:24; Eph 3:20)

Mee: it is by the grace of God that we have the Holy spirit to interceed on our behalf. I will be truthfull with you and tell you I don't know excactly where the scripture is located in the Bible. I think it was Paul who said that we do not know how or what to pray for and that is why the holy Spirit interceeds on our behalf. I will find this scripture and tell you where you can find it.

Check out Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which can not be utter.

Strong's Hebrew and Greek dictionary translates these words.

infirmities-(astheneis) as-then-i-ah/ Feebleness (of body or mind).
Groanings-(stenagmos) sten-ag-mos/ a sigh, a groaning.
uttered-(al-al-ay-tos) unspeakable/unutterable. which can not be uttered.
Spirit(pneuma) Pnyoo-mah a current of air that is breath (blast)or a breeze.
interceeds- in-ter-seeds/ to go between

Now it would read Likewise the current of air that is breath also helps our feebleness. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the breath itself to go between for us with a sigh which can not be spoken.

Sounds pretty wierd. what do you think Mee?

romans 8;26

Jesus Christ called the holy spirit a "helper."

Jehovahs spirit leads his people

The "Meaning" of the Spirit.
At Romans 8:26, 27, Paul shows that, when God’s servants are praying, they may not always know exactly what they should pray for as they need to.
But God knows that they desire his will to be done.
He also knows what his servants need.
God has in the past caused many inspired prayers to be recorded in his Word,
expressing his will or mind for them.

He therefore accepts these inspired prayers as being what his people should like to ask and pray for, and accordingly, he fulfills them.

God knows the righthearted ones and also knows the meaning of the things that he caused his spirit to speak through the Bible writers.

He knows what the "meaning [mind, thought] of the spirit is" when the spirit thus "pleads," or intercedes, for them.

Romans 8:26, 27 shows that the Christian, under certain circumstances, will not know just what to pray for; but his unuttered ‘groanings’ are nonetheless understood by God.

The apostle shows that this is by means of God’s spirit, or active force

. It should be remembered that it was by his spirit that God inspired the Scriptures. (2Ti 3:16, 17; 2Pe 1:21)

These contained prophecies and included events that prefigured the circumstances that would come upon his servants in later times and showed the way in which God would guide his servants and bring them the help they needed. (Ro 15:4; 1Pe 1:6-12)

It may not be until after the needed help has been received that the Christian realizes that what he might have prayed for (but did not know how to) was already set forth in God’s spirit-inspired Word.—Compare 1Co 2:9, 10.

what the bible REALLY teaches is very good :)
and getting back to the threads theme , ANSWERING PRAYERS

my prayer was answered when i did the following thing spoken of in
JOHN 17;3

This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. john 17;3

taking in knowledge about the true God JEHOVAH and his son JESUS CHRIST has put me on the road to EVERLASTING LIFE.

And it has also made me come to realize that
GOD IS GOING TO MAKE ALL THINGS NEW

And the One seated on the throne said: "Look! I am making all things new." Also, he says: "Write, because these words are faithful and true.REVELATION 21;5

Jehovah is the answerer of prayer
