Millat Ibrahim

السلام عليكم

One of the names of our Religion, according to the Glorious Quraan, is Millat Ibrahim which means the Sect of Abraham. This is because the Religion of Al-Islaam is in reality merely a restoration of the beliefs and way of the great prophet and patriarch, Abraham عليه السلام

قُلْ صَدَقَ اللّهُ فَاتَّبِعُواْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
Say: "Allaah has told the truth. So follow the Religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists." [Surah 3:95]

In fact, throughout the Quraan, Allaah سبحانه وتعالى emphasizes to follow the Religion of Abraham [2:130, 2:135, 4:125, 6:161, 12:38, 16:123, 22:78]

It is interesting to note, however, that the phrase Millati Muhammad (Religion of Muhammad) is never used in the Quraan.

This is obviously because the Prophet Muhammad صلى اللّه عليه وسلم was not starting a new religion. He was a Messenger of Allaah, in a long line of Messengers, beginning with Noah عليه السلام. He only restored the original way of Abraham, who was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but a simple monotheist who worshiped only One God (Allaah), and rejected Shirk (the associating of partners with Allaah, whether it be idols, angels, saints, graves, prophets, etc.,)

All three of the "Abrahamic" Religions claim that they are the rightful inheritors of the Legacy of Abraham, but I believe that only the Religion of Al-Islaam is true to the original and simple monotheism that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob عليهم السلام were upon, while the religions of Judaism and Christianity have strayed far and deviated with new concepts and philosophies that are inherently polytheistic.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to have fruitful discussions in the future with anyone who is interested.

May Allaah guide us to the Straight Path, the Way of Abraham [Ameen]

Christianity is not a mere religion its is a personal relationship with God, religion is demonic in its nature.

It's funny you say Religion is demonic. Well, Religion is only a way or spiritual system that people follow. Christianity is also a religion, as it says in your scripture:

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." [James 1:27]

So part of the Christian religion is to look after orphans, widows, and to abstain from worldliness. You can't have a personal relationship with God out of thin air, you have to follow a spiritual system which has a moral code, beliefs, and method of worship, etc.

Now I agree that not all religions are true, in fact only one Religion is true and only by adhering to it will a person come close to God and receive His bounties. That Religion is the original, pure monotheism, the Religion of Abraham, known as Khaleelullaah (the intimate friend of God). He worshiped only One God and rejected the false idols.

Unfortunately, Christianity is not pure monotheism. The beliefs of trinity and divine incarnation are inherently polytheistic. Therefore, no matter how sincere a Christian may be to his or her religion, they will never ever be able to achieve nearness and happiness of God, so long as they are involved in false worship and setting up equals with the One True God of Abraham.

wrong on that one, Christians are to be led by the spirit there is no rule based system for this, Christianity is not a morality club, it is a personal relationship with God, thanks to Jesus we can meet God face to face !

You are actually going against the teachings of your so called "god", Jesus, who told his followers to follow the laws of Moses and to be more righteous than the Pharisees. Throughout his ministry he repeatedly emphasized the following of a moral code, i.e. the Law of Moses.

Read your own gospels, its a fact you cannot deny.

What the later priests and preachers invented has no basis in the teachings of Jesus.

Yes I read them often, and Holy Spirit gives me revelation as to their meaning, since you are not born again you will never understand Gods Word, the Bible.

Circular argument.

And if you truly have the "Holy Spirit" you should be able to do miracles, like moving mountains, etc. Your Bible says that if you have even a mustard seed of faith you should be able to move a mountain. And you should be able to drink poison and survive.

I challenge you to do these things and prove that you have the "Holy Spirit".

Otherwise you are just making false claims that have no substance.

Yes thats what the Bible says and I agree with that, but its not me that does those things its the Holy Spirit working in me, if thats what the Holy Spirit wants to do through me and I am sensitive to him then thats what will happen.
