The jewish star represents the upper triangle being god the lower triangle being the goddess. If you take the two stars and merge them and move one counter clockwise it forms a universal star. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Yeah - it just happens to be the shape of the Merkaba, which happens to be the Vessel of Ezekiel, which happens to be a representation of the Sacred Geometry that is responsible for what is called the Merkaba Meditation - which is a specific meditation to reach very specific examples of Higher Spheres.

It is also called Ezekiel's Chariot.....

The star represents creation itself along with universal consciousness. You are right about it being a Merkada. With unconditional love you reach the higher spheres. It represents the universal kingdom of god.
