When I went to Australia I went 'downstairs' and played some euchre (they needed a 4th) while many of the crew was sleeping. 90% of the passengers were out, and there was only one attendant walking the aisles (and another posted in first class)

As many trips to Fiji as I've made over the years, 10 1/2 hours non-stop from Los Angeles, I never gave that a thought. Just figured the 2nd crew was seated somewhere, waiting for their shift to start.
Yeah, never even crossed my mind, even though I've been on flights that have been canceled because the crew had been on for too long already.

You had a much better experience going "downstairs" then I did on a long haul flight. They booted me out right away, but the one attendant on duty gave me a ton of premium food since I couldn't sleep and he was bored and wanted someone to talk to. Name was Edgar. Super nice guy.

The galleys are awesome on Quantas, they are set up as self serve for all but alcohol and meals. All the fresh fruit,.drinks and snacks you just got yourself.

And there was probably more than one room, I only saw flight attendants where I was, no actual flight crew.

A comedian friend of mine has been flown first class, flat bed a few times. His seat folds flat in front of a TV, they origami up walls, and give him pajamas and blankets. Only 5-10x co$t
