Noteworthy remakes and covers (music)

I love the string quartet as a musical vehicle and I also am able to 'get one's rocks off' to Slayer... But I'm not sure about the transposition or execution here...(still, interesting notion)

How about getting your rocks off to this string quartet's remake of Kashmir? ;)

The first one was, "Escala - Perform Kashmir Led Zeppelin - Britains Got Talent Semi Final Show 2"

The second one was Bond: Shine.

All girl string quartets.

Ugh! Mike Batt and Simon Cowell!

The classical "Hall of The Mountain King" covered by Apocalyptica

I have the entire album that particular song is on (a friend gave it to me back in in 2004, along with several other albums/cuts from other musicians.)

Interesting bit of trivia: the members of Apocalyptica are all classically trained cellists.

I apologize for the off-topic stuff here.
