I don’t know if anyone has noticed I haven’t been around much lately.
The cycle of life.
About 2 weeks ago my first grandchild - a beautiful little girl - came into the world, a blessing not only to me and my wife, but also, of course, a blessing to my very Jewish son and his wonderful and very Jewish wife. All are doing well, but because they live 3 hours away, my wife and I have been on the road quite a bit.
Two days before the baby was born one of our oldest friends died and the funeral was one day after her birth. A caring and loving woman who ate healthy, exercised daily and never smoked lost a 4 year battle against lung cancer.
In the meantime, my mother in law has tested positive for Covid.
And, I should mention, I have been busy during the Hebrew month of Elul that leads into the Jewish High Holy Days.
In short, I’ve been rather occupied with my real life outside the forum and this may continue for some time.
I know there are some posts that have tagged me and some posts I’d like to respond to, but I’ll have to get to them as time permits.
I’m not ignoring you guys nor have I fallen off a cliff. Just do me a favor and keep my seat warm.
