If you are interested in amazing Science Fiction writing this woman has been one of my favorites for decades. She passed away years ago but she's on fire right now. They did a show on FX called Kindred based on one of her books. I just read that HBO is doing her Parable of the Sower series. She's truly amazing and in a time when science fiction writing was dominated by white men.. this African American woman set out to break new ground.
