Do you think that God added to the teachings of Jesus after His Ascencion?

Hrumph! I say, chaps, just a note – I've been casting love about the above posts, but for the sake of clarity I want to make it quite clear to you both that this love is very much in the order of a chap-to-chap kind of thing, akin to a hug, but a hug with backslaps, of course, which all men know renders the hug acceptable.

(For the ladies, it's important to know that hugs without backslaps are considered rather infra dig in manly circles.)
It depends on the culture. Hugs between friends are common in Arabic countries, in Russia and also in Switzerland (in particular in the west like Geneva)

Oh Thomas! It looks as if you're just a bit cautious of love between men?
Genuine love is good. Enough.
It makes sense in a way though, a kind of grammar, to distinguish between the sentimental hugs in sorrow, and the lighthearted hugs of joy.
Do I have that correct? 🧐 🤗🫂🤔

I'm a gal and personally not much of a hugger, just for my nearest and dearest.
The possibility that different hugs and meanings of hugs in different contexts makes a lot of sense to me.

I don't think that it makes much difference. But my exchange of posts with Talib was not a 'hug' but a handshake.
But if anybody wanted to think of it as a hug, fine.

Like you I only seek to hug very very close friends or my wife. I offer handshakes to most people.

But where almost anybody seeks to hug me I will receive them.

Where I live the Christians that I know will embrace/hug everybody and I don't mind that at all. There is not enough care and affection in this world.
