death is swallowed up

Sorry? christ raised himself? I think 1st Peter 3:18 is pretty niffty what say you blazn? I hope that is the one I am thinking of lol.... My bible references are rusty...
1 PETER 3 ;18 is not telling us that God raised Jesus from the dead, it is telling us that Jesus was raised in spirit, its not talking about who raised Jesus ,the verses i posted earlier tell us who raised Jesus ,it was Jehovah God .
1 Pet. 3:18: "Christ died once for all time concerning sins, a righteous person for unrighteous ones, that he might lead you to God, he being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the spirit ["by the Spirit," KJ; "in the spirit," RS, NE, Dy, JB]." (At his resurrection from the dead, Jesus was brought forth with a spirit body. In the Greek text the words "flesh" and "spirit" are put in contrast to each other, and both are in the dative case; so, if a translator uses the rendering "by the spirit" he should also consistently say "by the flesh," or if he uses "in the flesh" he should also say "in the spirit.")
Acts 10:40, 41: "God raised this One [Jesus Christ] up on the third day and granted him to become manifest, not to all the people, but to witnesses appointed beforehand by God." (Why did not others see him too? Because he was a spirit creature and when, as angels had done in the past, he materialized fleshly bodies to make himself visible, he did so only in the presence of his disciples.)
1 Cor. 15:45: "It is even so written: ‘The first man Adam became a living soul.’ The last Adam [Jesus Christ, who was perfect as was Adam when created] became a life-giving spirit.

of course the father raised jesus as well, but your jw slant on topics always disregards the son and the spirit, but fact is the father, son, and holy spirit all raised jesus christ.
Jehovahs witness have no slant .they stick to the bible and what it teaches, it is the slant of the trinity teaching that confuses everything. without the added trinity doctrine there is no confusion at all.

Well... Which is it?
God The Father raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 10:9), Jesus raised Himself from the dead (John 2:19-21; John 10:17-18), and The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11). what one does, the rest do, as they are all one.

God The Father raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 10:9), Jesus raised Himself from the dead (John 2:19-21; John 10:17-18), and The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11). what one does, the rest do, as they are all one.

Amen!

additionally, John 2:19, "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

John 10:17-18, "Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

Romans 8:11 speaks I am sure of the (holy)spirit of god... raising jesus.. So the will and power of god raised jesus.

Romans 10:9 Isn't that a verse stating to publicly accept jesus? And to have confidence in god's power to bring dead back to life?

john 2:19 temple broken in three days and -raised up- Being placed back where he was with god... He has obviously been raised up from his sacrafice...

For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Lord,
Gr., ky´ri·os; J12-14,16-18,22(Heb.), ha·’a·dhohn´, "the Lord." Not "Jehovah."
and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved. romans 10;9

John
2:19-22:

By what he here said, did Jesus mean that he would resurrect himself from the dead? Does that mean that Jesus is God, because Acts 2:32 says, "This Jesus God raised up"? Not at all. Such a view would conflict with Galatians 1:1, which ascribes the resurrection of Jesus to the Father, not to the Son. Using a similar mode of expression, at Luke 8:48 Jesus is quoted as saying to a woman: "Your faith has made you well." Did she heal herself? No; it was power from God through Christ that healed her because she had faith. (Luke 8:46; Acts 10:38) Likewise, by his perfect obedience as a human, Jesus provided the moral basis for the Father to raise him from the dead, thus acknowledging Jesus as God’s Son. Because of Jesus’ faithful course of life, it could properly be said that Jesus himself was responsible for his resurrection.
Says A. T. Robertson in Word Pictures in the New Testament: "Recall [John] 2:19 where Jesus said: ‘And in three days I will raise it up.’ He did not mean that he will raise himself from the dead independently of the Father as the active agent (Rom. 8:11)."—(New York, 1932), Vol. V, p. 183.

This is why the Father loves me, because I surrender my soul, in order that I may receive it again. No man has taken it away from me, but I surrender it of my own initiative. I have authority to surrender it, and I have authority to receive it again. The commandment on this I received from my Father." John 10;17-18..................
Jesus disclosed that he was to die in order to bring about man’s salvation. His death, however, was due, not to weakness on his part in the face of his enemies, but rather to his acceptance of the divine will. (Hebrews 10:7) Jesus said: "This is why the Father loves me, because I surrender my soul, in order that I may receive it again. No man has taken it away from me, but I surrender it of my own initiative."—John 10:17, 18.
Would God allow faithful Jesus to sleep forever in death? Of course not! God promised that his "loyal one" would not remain dead. (Psalm 16:10) The Jews thought that by killing Jesus, they would be forever rid of him, but on the third day, God resurrected him from death to life and later lifted him up to heaven.—Acts 2:32, 33.

If, now, the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in YOU, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also make YOUR mortal bodies alive through his spirit that resides in YOU. romans 8;11
yes, holy active force from God , it acomplishes great things.
(1 Corinthians 6:14) But God both raised up the Lord and will raise us up out of [death] through his power.
(2 Corinthians 4:14) knowing that he who raised Jesus up will raise us up also together with Jesus and will present us together with YOU............... these annointed ones would be raised to be with Jesus with power from God

what great power Jehovah has, and he will and has given Jesus the power to do great things , even swallow up death forever.
Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 25 For he must rule as king until [God] has put all enemies under his feet. 26 As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing 1 corinthians 15;24-26

Question for you Mee: You believe Jesus to be a created angel, I get that. But, since God says that He will not share His glory with another. Why then does He share glory with Jesus? There's a contradiction there, dont you think?

the bible is never out of harmony with it self, so maybe you are not reading the bible in the right way , because for me there is no disharmony . accurate knowledge leads to no contratiction at all .

(Isaiah 50:5) The Sovereign Lord Jehovah himself has opened my ear, and I, for my part, was not rebellious. I did not turn in the opposite direction.

(John 10:17) This is why the Father loves me, because I surrender my soul, in order that I may receive it again.

(Hebrews 5:8) Although he was a Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered; ...........i quite like these ones , Jesus was obedient to his father ,
(Philippians 2:8) More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake....................if Jesus was God who was he obedient to ? yes Jesus was obedient to his father .

OK, great. So please explain your answer, you never do. God is zealous and jealous for His glory. He said He will not share it with another. Why is she sharing it with Jesus?

Under Christ’s Kingdom the inhabitants of the earth “will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” (Psalm 37:11) No one will say: “I am sick.” (Isaiah 33:24) Any incapacity we may have had to endure will be reversed, for “the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness.” (Isaiah 35:6) Aged individuals will regain their youthful vigor; their flesh will “become fresher than in youth.”—Job 33:25.
