    Every Quality has Opposite Poles

There is polarity in electricity and magnetism, yes, but it doesn't follow that there is polarity in everything. Of course I'm not saying that words like 'hot' and 'cold' don't mean anything, of course they do. But they have meaning subjectively not objectively. Forces really work in a complex...

    my posts do not appear....

*sigh* I still can't start threads (except my intro thread of course). The screen comes up entirely blank.

Ah.... I was just being horribly impatient :p it all comes from being off work and having too much time to spend on the net. :D Thankyou!

    Every Quality has Opposite Poles

(I tried to post on this thread, it didn't seem to work, it was suggested I try to 'bump' it by posting again - please ignore this post!)

    my posts do not appear....

It was a post in a regular thread, although I also had trouble starting a thread when I initially tried to ask the question . Thanks for the bump idea, I'll give it a try.

    Creation vs. Evolution vs. "Emanationism"

I don't think anything happens 'suddenly' in astrophysics.... except maybe supernova. You seem to be ignoring all the vast forces that exist out there in the universe, Nick. Take the universe 'soup' of atoms and space... those atoms mooch about and now and again there will be more of them in one...

    Creation vs. Evolution vs. "Emanationism"

My understanding of entropy is distinctly incomplete, as I said I'm no scientist. However different laws do apply at different scales - the intermolecular forces for example are huge at intermolecular levels and insignificant at galaxy levels, the reverse is true for gravity. What do you...

    Lamenting Present Day Atheism

Re: ~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~'`^`'~*-,._.,-*~ --> That is a fascinating observation to me, as I am a pantheist. They don't tend to address pantheism either. (Naughty Impqueen, forgetting pantheists! :o) --> Perhaps the kid would have done well with some...

    Creation vs. Evolution vs. "Emanationism"

In terms of life the organisation is provided by the process of evolution itself. In terms of the universe in general I'm afraid I'm not an astrophysicist :p. However, according to my partner who's a science teacher ... "The concept that the world is naturally moving towards a more entropic...

    my posts do not appear....

I wanted to add a new thread for these but couldn't, it failed twice. This thread seemed closest in content so I'll ask my questions here. Firstly ... why couldn't I make a new thread? It was short and unless your spam or obscenity filters have some truly wierd words in, I don't see how it can...

    Every Quality has Opposite Poles

This is why I tend to reject polarities (in my personal belief). Many of the ones often quoted aren't really polarities anyway; Hot/cold - these are relative. If I'm at the North Pole then 1degreeC is hot. If I'm on the surface of the sun then 100degreesC is cold. Male/female - only...

    Creation vs. Evolution vs. "Emanationism"

Personally I believe in evolution, and I don't believe that the divine/the gods are creators of the universe but part of it. Although it may be that divine energy started off the big bang, I don't believe in a 'plan'. This is an area of my belief I'm still figgerin' out the details for though....

    Hi

Indeed not and I tend to think of myself as British, but wanted to be a bit more specific without sending out my address over the whole of the net.... :)

    Lamenting Present Day Atheism

Before I start I'll just say I have no problem at all with atheism as a belief, but have noticed something about those atheists I have come across in my personal life and those I've heard talking on the radio. Atheists often talked as anti-monotheists, they don't address polytheism as an option...

    Hi

Hi, I'm Impqueen. I'm a pagan, and still working out the details of my belief. So far I can say for certain that I'm polytheist (not sure on the consistency yet... :p pretty hard though ... probably) and leaning towards animism. I worship the Earth but am coming to the conclusion it's not a...
