Some concerning trends in our world regarding religious freedom

I think FaithfulServant got it on the nose when she pointed out there have always been extremists (on all sides), and gave the Westboro Baptist Church as a particular example.

    Indian Philosophy in a nutshell?

It doesn't need our experience - but as we're all connected to the same superorganism the experience is inevitably shared.

    Indian Philosophy in a nutshell?

But this is not a science board, it's one for discussing Eastern religions. Please try and stay on topic.

    Reincarnation: not RIP but BRB?

As TLW points out, reincarnation is not resurrection. I believe reincarnation depends on a non-physical soul to return.

How would you share the Good News to the Self-Entrapped?

Just a reminder this is the Christianity board, where people are invited to discuss issues relating to Christianity in order to better understand it.

    Pyramids of Giza

Actually, the Venice thing is true! https://www.bbc.co.uk/future/article/20250324-the-ancient-forest-that-supports-venice Never seen anything ever suggested about anything under the pyramids of Giza, though.

    Ignoring Vaccines

Ah, yes - that's the guy - funding US research at Wuhan, that would have been illegal to do in the US itself because it was otherwise considered too dangerous and unethical.

    Pyramids of Giza

Lol, I saw something like that on FaceBook claiming the same for under Venice. :)

    Does God really exist?

There's nothing irrational about believing in God or a soul. It's actually not believing that is more irrational - it's a refusal to reject the truth of existence before you. :) But, you're welcome to shut your mind to it - after all, what's more important is not what a person believes, but...

    Ignoring Vaccines

From a layman's perspective, the purpose of a vaccine is to prevent either someone from catching a specific infection or from spreading it. If the Pfizer vaccine does neither, then can it really be called a vaccine as opposed to an experimental medical procedure? Btw, the position I'm coming...

    Does God really exist?

I find the opposite surprising - that we live in a universe specifically designed to not just form or develop but also sustain and progress life, but we overlook this because the extraordinary has become the ordinary to us. Don't get lost in theistic ideas of what God or the Divine or Universal...

    Death is an illusion

We are all the universe experiencing itself. When cells develop and grow into new life, they draw some of the energy from the universe to it, and self-sustains it for a while. But once that physical form dies away, the energy held there is released back to rejoin the universe.

    Ignoring Vaccines

Unfortunately, with the Pfizer covid vaccine there was very little science. According to an EU inquiry, there were adverse reactions in the original Pfizer trials, but these were removed to ensure the results looked good enough to sell to governments. And let's face it, Pfizer originally claimed...

GODS: The Fabrication of a Theistic Mind

Ahhh, I forgot a lot of religious thought focuses on the individual ascending to Heaven, rather than returning to join with God. I'm thinking of the sea analogy I recently posted, where we are all actually part of the Divine separated in the physical world, rejoined in the spiritual Remember...

GODS: The Fabrication of a Theistic Mind

This is a pretty excellent summary of a lot of traditional spiritual thought. As well as this for the LHR. However, I'm curious as to whether the Qabbalah is considered an essential tool for this, or whether it's simply one of a number of optional tools?

GODS: The Fabrication of a Theistic Mind

No, when I returned to the forums I over-moderated, especially after a lot of early disruption. I made some decisions too fast, and reversed those I was made aware of were wrong. In the meantime, however, I would remind everyone we're discussing topics not posters, and to avoid anything that...

Unification of all religions: The four heavenly items Chapter one (The basics)

My apologies - I think I've been too over-protective of the forums recently, especially because of the amount of disruption we've had. In the past 3 months alone we've had 3 Messiahs and a Neo nazi flooding the forums, so I've probably been over-vigilant. I've therefore returned your thread to...

GODS: The Fabrication of a Theistic Mind

The more recent posts in this thread appear to be you directly laying a challenge to other groups who wish to engage with you. I've removed a couple of posts which were outright proselytizing at you, but left other posts where there appeared to be a genuine engagement with what you were asking...

Unification of all religions: The four heavenly items Chapter one (The basics)

I left a notification that it was removed because it did not come across as a discussion piece, but instead as someone publishing to the site, which we don't want to encourage.
