    Baha'i Faith & Freemasonry...

Cool pictures, and great discussion. I actually thought the architecture of the Bahai Buildings in Haifa were influenced by Ionic architecture. Classical Orders of Architecture

Was Persia worse in Baha'u'llah's time?

Baha'u'llah was illustrating how Christians and Jews rejected Muhammad. And that Muslims were susceptible to the same mistake of rejecting a Messenger of God. Notice that Bahaullah quotes the new testament, asserting its religious athority, even though he is not directly speaking to a Christian...

    Enemies of Baha'is

I think so, certainly many of the early Bahais and people who met Abdul-Baha(the perfect Bahai) thought that He was the return of Christ.(which he denied) ON September 10th, the first Sunday after 'Abdu'l-Bahá's arrival in England, he spoke from the City Temple pulpit to the evening...

    Enemies of Baha'is

Yes, I certainly see how it is viewed as a contradiction. I think Baha'u'llah envisions marriage much differently than what as it has become today. The Bahai marriage should theoretically be much more than sexual relations or a partnership for financial gain. ALthough I cannot say what it...

    Enemies of Baha'is

The following is a post by Dale Lehman, the host of planet Bahai on the subject of homosexuality and the Bahai Faith. Quote "Because the question was raised specifically with respect to the Baha'i Faith, I will respond here (and I hope that's all right), but will confine my remarks to the...

    Two Prophets; Mentally Ill?

The Quran seems to anticipate the charge of insanity. YUSUFALI: And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed!" PICKTHAL: And lo! those who disbelieve would fain disconcert thee with their eyes when they hear...

What will WE be Like in Heaven?

"Know thou of a truth that the soul, after its separation from the body, will continue to progress until it attaineth the presence of God" "The nature of the soul after death can never be described, nor is it meet and permissible to reveal its whole character to the eyes of men"

    The Bab

I think the Bahai Faith teaches and acknowledges that humans are part of an unfolding process. God is calling us into being. Through revelations we get guidelines and processes which we must strive to understand and partake of in order to build a never before seen civilization and attain new...

    The Bab

This is a bit off topic but I read the first post to this topic and found these quotes in response. "THE recognition of Him Who is the Bearer of divine Truth is none other than the recognition of God, and loving Him is none other than loving God. However, I swear by the sublime Essence of...

    What made god?

I guess ive gone in over my head with my comments but I didnt mean to imply that any interpretation goes. I meant that the perceived imperfections in the Bible are really just human imperfections related to time and space. But the essence of the Word of God would be a perfect form of guidance...

    What made god?

Sure we make errors in translation but it doesnt mean one error is equal to another. Besides if the Bible was perfect we wouldnt be able to comprehend it perfectly because were not perfect. Of course if we were perfect we wouldnt need to learn from the Bible either.

    islamic tradition of non-violence?

There is more than enough room for Muslims to be non-violent. At certain times total pacifists would be totally destroyed, if there were noone to defend them, I think that might have been the reason for the rules on self defense in Islam. But at the heart of the Quran, is the idea that Allah is...
