Why do you believe in YOUR religion

I read the books of almost all the world religions and in the beginning I thought Hinduism was the most advanced due to meditation -- although there were beautiful gems of wisdom in all of them. I didn't know Buddhism actually had any holy books, you can't find one sacred text in any book...

Dhammapada: The Fool Long is the night to the wakeful; long is the league to the weary; long is the samsara to the foolish who know not the Sublime Truth. If, as the disciple fares along, he meets no companion who is better or equal, let him firmly pursue his solitary career. There is no...

Firstly, one must first have the ability to discern what a spiritual raft is; secondly, one must be able to discern if one actually has a raft; Third one must first have the ability to test it to see if it sinks or floats; Fourth one must know the destination to take the raft. Fifth one...

Where the 3 Wise Men Descendants of Ishmael?

Why would you think Ishmael, a man whom God called a "wild ass amongst men" in the Torah, that his descendants would all of a sudden be called wise? Muslims do consider Ishmael the ancestor of Mohammad...which would explain why they are fighting one another :o

God came as Shankara to uplift the atheists who did not care for God

your post would have been profound had you said, "as an athiest I challenge this concept known as god to refute me each and every day" But if you call this concept non-sense right from the outset, that means you are prejudiced and your mind is already settled in this view. Similar to a...

God came as Shankara to uplift the atheists who did not care for God

I frankly don't know how Buddhism became associated with atheism -- I think it's due to the Hindu priests, Buddha is called Bhagavan, i.e. GOD, in all sutras. In that sense, I would say Sankaracharya, was ignorant and led hindus away from God.
