Hi Mee ... here's something to consider.

Scripture says:
"Understanding this first, that no prophecy of scripture is made by private interpretation" 2 Peter 1:20.

I content that JW doctrine is founded on just that. A private interpretation of Scripture — the supposed dating of Christ's return — in that no such date is ever given in any orthodox Christian teaching up until that point. And certainly no reference to any date whatsoever — not even 1914 — is given in Scripture itself. In fact, quite the reverse: "It is not for you to know ..." Acts 1:7 et seq. So any attempt to claim knowledge of any date, by a private interpretation of prophecy of Scripture, is refuted by the Apostle based on the words of Christ Himself.

The fact that JW leaders were obliged to revise this date on a number of occasions, and then later to redefine the very terms of reference, illustrate that the data was not infallibly revealed in the first instance, therefore it was not a direct message from God. Your founders are not prophets.

You call yourselves witnesses. I contend your witness is of a private interpretation of Scripture, and thus a man-made tradition.

In short, you claim knowledge of that which The Lord said "It is not for you to know the times or seasons which the Father has fixed by His own authority." Your assertion of a date of Jesus' coronation in Heaven is a claim to know a time 'the Father has fixed' — something which 'is not for you to know'.

It seems to me, on the assertion of Scripture, an invalid claim.

Thomas, mee's fixation is on Daniel and Revelation...like a scratched record, mee's needle keeps skipping to those two books. The rest of the Bible is 'fluff'.

Mee seems to want the world to end (right now), which one can allude to unhappiness with life as it stands.

Don't get me wrong. I want to go to heaven, just not right now...

I think we have a mission that must needs be accomplished here and now before we think of forever.

mee, can't even think of others, because it goes against everything the elders have stated, concerning isolating self from the rest of the world.

What a selfish religion, and desparate faith...

certainly not what Christ taught...

(2 Peter 1:20, 21) Because true prophecy does not originate with error-prone humans but with our all-wise Creator, we know that all prophecies set forth in God’s Word will be fulfilled.:)

By holy spirit he has enabled his servants to understand how Bible prophecies are being fulfilled. MATTHEW 24;45-47

mee, can't even think of others, quote]

mee thinks everyone should hear the GOODNEWS MATTHEW 24;14

Thats why i love to give it out to others, LOVE is the surpasssing thing :) mee loves my neighbor, its to good to keep to myself

Thomas, mee's fixation is on Daniel and Revelation...like a scratched record, mee's needle keeps skipping to those two books. The rest of the Bible is 'fluff'.

Daniel 12;4 and 2 timothy 3;16-17 is what it is all about . and it is very good :)

One has to have faith that either the Spirit can lead one to truth about God's word, or an organization is the one that leads to truth with their private interpretation. When the two come in conflict, one then has to decide to ignore the divine teaching of the Spirit because it causes problems by going against the organizations beliefs that one wants to belong to or ignore the organization because God reveals truth to the individual through Spirit and shines a light on the organization which reveals its errors; thereby it forces one to make a decision about social acceptance or the truth about God.

And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

If one is not free to ask Jesus Christ our Lord to let his Spirit come into our hearts, work in our lives and reveal the truth while one diligently looks for the truth in his word, like a thirsty man looks for water, then one should try to understand there is an obstacle or a prison that you have been put into that is obstructing your personal relationship with Christ, which he came to abolish and be able to work personally with man as high priest and Saviour.

Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?" (Matthew 24:3)

Jesus’ answer is found in the remainder of Matthew chapters 24 and 25. His words are recorded, too, in Mark chapter 13 and Luke chapter 21.

This was clearly the most important prophecy uttered by Jesus while he was on earth.

there is also a parallel prophecy found in the book of Revelation, the vision of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. (Revelation 6:1-8)

The first of these horsemen pictures Jesus himself as conquering King.

The other riders with their steeds picture happenings on earth that mark the beginning of Jesus’ reign: war, famine, and untimely death through various agents.

Do we see these two prophecies fulfilled today?
indeed we do its all happening since 1914

matthew 24;7-8
For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.

All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.YES ,the first world war
WAS A BEGINNING OF PANGS OF DISTRESS

its all happening in the time of the end for this system of things,

but NO WORRIES :) As we can see ,bible prophecy always comes true .

And soon it will be the end of those critical times that we are going through
2 timothy 3;1-5

bible prophecy always comes true
Daniel 2;44 2 peter 3;13
:)

and guess what , many people from many nations are even now being taught by the most high as another bible prophecy undergoes fullfillment

It must occur in the final part of the days that the mountain of the house of Jehovah will become firmly established above the top of the mountains, and it will certainly be lifted up above the hills; and to it all the nations must stream. And many peoples will certainly go and say: "Come, you people, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will instruct us about his ways, and we will walk in his paths." For out of Zion law will go forth, and the word of Jehovah out of Jerusalem. And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more.—Isa. 2:2-4,

:)AND THEY CERTAINLY DO NOT LEARN WAR ANYMORE :)

and here they are spoken of in REVELATION 7;9-10 and it is a great crowd,
FROM ALL NATIONS .

And they are JEHOVAHS WITNESSES :)bible prophecy always comes true , there is no stopping it :)

And it is VERY GOOD

Even a half hearted look at the founding of the cult of JW can easilly leave any rational person with the conclusion that it was founded by a schizophrenic. When his visionary predictions did not materialise he lost faith in himself and died soon after. It was then taken over by and grown as a business venture and a nice little number it remains for a select few. I agree that only stupid or desperately unhappy people could embrace its core message.

But in scriptural terms the Catholics have no moral high ground. Paulian scripture has no more validity than Russels. Just because it has been repeated for far longer does not mean it was authentic. Indeed it is clear to me that not a word was left uneditted by Constantine and successive popes. So Thomas I applaud you throwing stones at dodgy ideas, but dont forget you live in a glass house.

the foundation stone is Jesus christ, but many are in opposition to Jesus , you are not the only one .

Jesus Christ is Scripturally spoken of as the "foundation cornerstone" of the Christian congregation, which is likened to a spiritual house.

Yes i am glad to say that JEHOVAHS WITNESSES are doing just what the most high said LUKE 9;35

getting back to what the bible REALLY teaches is just right for them

with no manmade doctrines in sight . and its very good ,and honest hearted ones quickly respond to the liberating truths.

Are
Jehovah’s Witnesses a sect or a cult?

Some define sect to mean a group that has broken away from an established religion. Others apply the term to a group that follows a particular human leader or teacher. The term is usually used in a derogatory way. Jehovah’s Witnesses are not an offshoot of some church but include persons from all walks of life and from many religious backgrounds. They do not look to any human, but rather to Jesus Christ, as their leader.
A cult is a religion that is said to be unorthodox or that emphasizes devotion according to prescribed ritual. Many cults follow a living human leader, and often their adherents live in groups apart from the rest of society. The standard for what is orthodox, however, should be God’s Word, and Jehovah’s Witnesses strictly adhere to the Bible. Their worship is a way of life, not a ritual devotion. They neither follow a human nor isolate themselves from the rest of society. They live and work in the midst of other people.

and its all VERY GOOD
:)

Bible: Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human tradition, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.

AND ITS VERY GOOD :)

God: They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes toward mankind. Anyone who publicly witnesses about Jehovah is usually identified as belonging to the one group—"Jehovah’s Witnesses."

AND ITS ALL VERY GOOD :)

Jesus Christ: They believe, not that Jesus Christ is part of a Trinity, but that, as the Bible says, he is the Son of God, the first of God’s creations; that he had a prehuman existence and that his life was transferred from heaven to the womb of a virgin, Mary; that his perfect human life laid down in sacrifice makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith; that Christ is actively ruling as King, with God-given authority over all the earth since 1914.

AND ITS ALL VERY GOOD :)

God’s Kingdom: They believe that God’s Kingdom is the only hope for mankind; that it is a real government; that it will soon destroy the present wicked system of things, including all human governments, and that it will produce a new system in which righteousness will prevail.

AND ITS ALL VERY GOOD:)

Heavenly life: They believe that 144,000 spirit-anointed Christians will share with Christ in his heavenly Kingdom, ruling as kings with him. They do not believe that heaven is the rewa d for everyone who is "good."

AND ITS ALL VERY GOOD :)

The earth: They believe that God’s original purpose for the earth will be fulfilled; that the earth will be completely populated by worshipers of Jehovah and that these will be able to enjoy eternal life in human perfection; that even the dead will be raised to an opportunity to share in these blessings.

AND IT WILL BE ALL VERY GOOD :)

Death: They believe that the dead are conscious of absolutely nothing; that they are experiencing neither pain nor pleasure in some spirit realm; that they do not exist except in God’s memory, so hope for their future life lies in a resurrection from the dead.

AND ITS ALL VERY GOOD :)

Last days: They believe that we are living now, since 1914, in the last days of this wicked system of things; that lovers of righteousness will survive into a cleansed earth.

AND ITS ALL VERY GOOD :)

Separate from the world: They earnestly endeavor to be no part of the world, as Jesus said would be true of his followers. They show genuine Christian love for their neighbors, but they do not share in the politics or the wars of any nation. They provide for the material needs of their families but shun the world’s avid pursuit of material things and personal fame and its excessive indulgence in pleasure.

AND ITS ALL VERY GOOD:)
