I have noticed a severe recession in the posting rate of this site. Perchance it has some tie in with the credit crunch and a general decline in the morale of western peoples?

or.... people are so busy. getting ready for christmas, holidays or in my case, spending every waking moment, not at work or painting my house and getting it ready for sale.
lol. what about you, Tao

Me? Well I'm doing my best figure out what to do next, and painting and other artistic ventures. Also been doing more 'sinning' than is permissible to post on this forum. I love the first syllable of 'single' so much!!
Going to Krakow for New year and to do a bit of skiing.
Dont know if you saw my painting 'girl in red panties' but that is first of a series of about 12 paintings I am doing of "girls in red", as I want to sell a painting (even just one......yes its pure ego :p ), and so I need about 12 for an exhibition in a bar I frequent. They are all either erotic or semi-nude and am now working on the 3rd, "girl with red feather boa". The 2nd is almost complete and features a beatiful girl I know from Botswana. They are all pretty stylised in like a 70s psychedlic poster art form.

As for here...... where the bleedin hell have all the good arguments gone? Its like being married too long in a mismatched marraige maybe... eventually conflict gives way to silence and the occasional 'yes dear' or sigh of disapproval  Or maybe I have been, inadvertantly of course, a brilliant prosltyser and sown big fat juicy seeds of doubt in the firmament of their superstitions!! Maybe they are all off posting their agreement on Richard Dawkins site!! Well maybe that is just a bit too imaginative :p But where there is life there is hope!!

You know what I was only thinking this myself yesterday. Things can't be that bad that people haven't got the money to run electricity to have their PC's on is it surely?
I guess it's the run down to Christmas and the time of year. I know a lot of people get this "SAD" syndrome and can't be arse'd to do much so that could be another answer.
Perhaps you've scared them all away Tao! LOL

It has been stable since the move to the new domain. And it's far more posts than I can keep up with.

I wouldn't get anything else done if I were to respond to all the posts I'm interested in.

Tao, as for me I check in daily but I go through spurts of wanting to post stuff. Currently, I'm in a frame of mind that isn't interested in much deep, serious dialogue- my mind-brain just wants to hang loose & chill at this time.:) Of course, to some degree, (though am sometimes willing to discuss old topics again that get recycled into new threads), in general a lot of the newer threads have been discussed before and I often do not want to rehash old stuff. earl

I want to start writing about mundane things. I just haven't found the inner or outer space for that yet. I'm honestly burnt on politics, religion, spirituality, metaphysics and etc. I want to write about things I actually know for a change.

Now that is funny. :):)

I know what your saying... I'm reduced to talking about sex and getting them pole dancing....how banal is that!!

You could start a thread entitled "10 things you should not do with a nail gun"? Better include a readers clause against liability though....round here someone bound to end up crucifying someone :p

how about a thread about how to ....... (like, when painting a room, dont start painting the walls first if yougotta do the ceiling.. )(that would have been helpful for me)

When painting (as in: rooms or houses) let gravity be your friend, and don't paint yourself into a corner...

The ultimate fun combination would be painting a house with a paintball gun. Invite your friends over, strip the room, arm them all well and have some fun painting each other while you paint the room...

Sounds good in theory, :D

Wow, what a concept! If I had to write only about things I know, I would be left "speechless." :D

I agree!

Now as to the posts... are there fewer or just fewer you are willing to respond to anymore?

LOL! All of us carpenters have "I shot myself" stories, and we all know an old carpenter named Stumpy it seems.
