Q, I've found it amazing that questioning is confused with answering.

But how many times I read those like Prof. Needleman and Simone that raise questions be accused of trying to be cult leaders or whatever. It is like who are they to ask such questions? Bunch of elitists. Who do they think they are? Why should we ponder such questions? Just believe either in a religion, an accepted authority, Oprah, or in the Great Beast also known as society.

I've seen the results of "answers" and I hope you would agree that a lot of harm has been caused by these answers. Of course those with "answers" are insulted by those with "questions" and most of all the "wrong questions" accusing them of disturbing the peace or some such expression of righteous indignation.

Simone Weil said we must be willing to annoy the Great Beast. This of course includes not being intimidated into losing the initiative to understand which comes through accepting the denial of sincere questions.

Belittlement is casting down, appreciating another's thoughts as being unique and worth consideration, is raising up...

No, I do not consider you a quack, in any sense of the word. I just don't think seeking God (in any way, fashion or form), is a lie. Nor do I think expressing what has been found along the way, to be a lie, at least not on the part of the person expressing the thought. It may not be accurate, but there is no deception on the part of the one expressing their thoughts (that implies deliberate guile).

If perception is reality to the perceiver, then the truth is in one's mind, and heart.
