Bad translations, Misinterpations add ons. What do we really know??

Does anybody actually believe that they are saved now. I notice some of the words in the bible are either mistraslated or add ons. The famous scripture of John 3:16 For God so lovED the world, The correct wording is For God lovES the world. If the word was lovED it would imply that He no longer loves the word.

Here's another famous passages Jesus said Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.

I found out to my suprise that Jesus never said this. This is an add on also.

The more one searches for the truth the more suprises one finds.

What else is added What else have we been taught that isn't ture?? Things Jesus never said or taught. I have a few Ideas and most of you know what they are. I was wondering what yall think?

We'll be a long time discussing this one...as it has been discussed for ages and will continue as we'll never have a definitive answer.

This is the reason for all the translations, attempting to improve upon the last with the latest and greatest knowledge of the day. Well now, yeah, there is also a power and greed and my interpretation is more right than yours factor, which is why some of them are written.

But we must look at what we have. During the oral tradition changes were made intentionally and accidentally as the stories were passed from person to person, village ot village. When the first stories were written down we find evidence that the scribes that rewrote the texts for distribution made changes, intentionally and accidentally. That notes, contemplations on margins were incorporated as fact. That translations from Aramaic, Koin Greek, Classical Greek, Coptic, Hebrew into each other and into Latin and English and whatever and back again caused problems. (we were playing a game a while ago where we put words into one of the online translators and went back and forth from language to language and saw how convoluted it ended up).

Then add to the issue the colloquialisms of the day, (the day it was spoke, the day of the oral tradition, and the day of the translations) things we say today like 'beyond the pale', 'that's bad', 'it's cool', 'rotflmao', etc. which make sense to some in some areas today but not in others and would make no sense litterally translated 2,000 years ago... we miss out on these as well.

So in all cases we need to go beyond the words, into the words, and read various translations and interpretations, and go back to look at the original languages ourselves sometime....to see what scripture means to us.

That is what i say to a single sect believer.

But as for me: just to make sure i read most every religious belief system on this globe. and have spent over 30+ years of continuous study explicitely on Life, compassion, knowledge and understanding.

Basically combine the pope, Jesus, Confucious, Einstein, the Buddha, Zoraster, Thoth and about every system of compassionate understanding in between and you can bet just about every item found surrounding, regarding and of the works, of their contributions and you will just taste a weeeeeeeee bit of what this I has read.

Be certain when it comes to being responsible for every action i take, it is covered within the compassion and intent for the big guy. (existence as a whole)

Kind of risky if you ask me!

WOW I dont know what to say. I can't tell if your being sincere or sacastic. If your being sinsere then I guess all I can say is better late than never. By the way just so that you know I do look up and do alot of reading before i make a comment. I do alot of little extras before I write. Now that being said It might be what yall believe, but I do do my homework and try to make an intelligent report. Sometimes it works and sometime it don't. Just because we don't agree on things dosen't mean we have to be mean spirited or smart *&^ even rude about it, like some people. They know who they are. Someone once pointed out that this in a site is where people discuss our beliefs and that just because I might think I am right about a certain topic, that there is no need to put someone else's beliefs down. Anyway since you brought up Jesus I just wanted to say in refrence to your comment about Jesus never claiming to be a Saviour. Well after doing my extinsive research on the scriptures I was able to fine this for you. John 12:47 and if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not Judge him. For I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. I guess one can interpeted this script;ure anyway they please, and that fine as for me I trust and believe in what the Lord has said. For I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

Again, He gave of Himself for others to prepare and know the time WILL come; of the days of judgment.

Hey, I have a question for you guys that goes beyond mistranslation.

All four Maccabbees, parts of Daniel and Esther, as well as numerous other books in the Catholic Apocrypha, were in the Septuagint, concidered the Law in Jesus Christ's time, and the Scriptures alluded to when you find the word within the New Testament, as well as the Scriptures which Jesus Christ quotes from. (For fairness, however, read this: What is the Septuagint?)

If most scholars, from my understanding, hold this belief, why are these books which were in the divinely inspired Septuagint NOT in most Bibles we find today, and also concidered Apocryphal but some?

Also, if Jude quotes the book of Enoch, why is THAT not canonized?

Here is another interesting way of wording a word. In the (CLV)Gens1:27 And (creating)is the Elohim humanity in His image. In the image of the Elohim He creates it male and female He creates them.

This a hugh difference in meanning. He (God) creatED which is past tense. Like we are creatED in His image. Meanning that it's all done we are now in the image of God. Anybody with any knowladge of God knows that God is spirit and is forever. We are not, we are physical and we will die. Until we die and resurrected and changed from the physical body to spirit. Until we are change from mortality to immortality we are not in His image. what do yall think. Am I wrong? it wouldn't be the first time or the last.
