Pathless
Fiercely Interdependent
I picked this up at the video store the other day based solely on the write-up on the back, something along the lines of: "Think Trainspotting played for laughs." This movie did not disappoint! It has everything: drug addiction, desperation, hallucinations, death, the accidental raising of the dead during Satanic ritual gone awry; dandy, prissy Satan worshipers; an army of dwarves decked out in medieval gear and driving a volkswagen; hippies, Canadians, and organized crime. Oh, and a nod to garden gnomes. It has that, too.

Besides being extremely funny, this movie is quite impressive because it fuses all these bizarro elements together into a cohesive story that doesn't really have any pitfalls that I could spot. Well, I mean, there was that bit where the safe falls through the floor into the basement, but that's not the kind of pitfall that I was referring to.
