Greetings to all!

I'm mad about getting entry into paradise, so finding nothing I got this to post here in second try. The Holy Quran (Last Testament) defines Paradise upto such range:

لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَالِدِينَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْداً مَّسْئُولاً

Therein abiding, wherein they have all that they desire and wish. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled. (25:16)

I think that Quran is the only Devine Book which states Jannah "Paradise" to its end extent. See if we live in the place wherein our all desires will be fulfilled, not just for part time, forever it will be...I don't think human needs more if all wishes is going to be fulfilled forever.

So, is there anyother great statement form other Scriptures which could define more than the reward offered by Quran?

You look so young, sweet an innocent, I was merely trying to spare you the loss of your illusions ;)

no... how about this...

Tir na nOg, translates as... the land of eternal youth, or the land of the ever young... A place were the Tuatha De Danaan (the mystical forefathers/Gods of Ireland) and sidhe, or fairies, lived. This otherworld is a place where sickness and death do not exist, and everyone is young and beautiful, where happiness lasts forever and everyone has a plentiful supply of food and drink, music, dancing, art and literature.

Tír na nÓg is a place beyond the edges of the map, located on an island far to the west. It can be reached by either an arduous voyage or an invitation from one of its fairy residents. The isle was visited by various Irish heroes and monks in the achtrae (Adventure) and immram (Voyage) tales popular during the Middle Ages. It was the Irish equivalent of the Greek Elysium, or the Vallhalla of the Norse.

Great wordings! loss of source..

yet Quran defines all your statements in single statement as in the very first post.

Is there any other who could better explain?

How poeple could live without Hopes? Just living in "Birth and death session"?
If you have time to think about after your death then you are failing to live properly. Paradise is promised by tyrants and their doctrines to make the privations they enforce on you somehow seem meaningful. You want a bit of imortality? Then there is only one way to get close to it....have children.

I take my words back, "sophisticated forum". Oh I was here for learning about others religious thoughts, BUT!

O no who makes me craze to join!

"Jannah" is my youngest daughter's name. I didn't know that it meant 'heaven' in Arabic until after I named her (long story). A nice surprise. So I'm closer to 'paradise' than ever, no?

Well since we are in comparative studies, let's look at how the bible describes it:

"Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." - Luke 17:21

"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. - Romans 14:17

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." - Revelation 21:3-7

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." - Matthew 6:33-34

And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.
But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace

PSALM 37;10-11

The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.

PSALM 37;29

With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

REVELATION 21;3-4

PEACE ON EARTH AT LAST now that is paradise:)

Actually "no" coz your daughter has to leave you after marriage. If so easy to get Jannah is then I'll try for lot of kids to name them all as "Jannah" :D  Nay! but Jannah will be under my feet :p

I feel Muslims are lucky as they have faith in "Taurah" and "Injeel" but aren't pure in todays thats another fact. Good to know about yours...:)

PEACE ON EARTH AT LAST now that is paradise:)

Thanks dear fellow! good to know about yours....:)

I myself do study Bible , I do study it comparatively with Quran. Still I find Quran on it's proper statement, it defines Jannah in just a sentence:

لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ خَالِدِينَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْداً مَّسْئُولاً

Therein abiding, wherein they have all that they desire and wish. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled. (25:16)

See! just in a statement Quran defines paradise, you can match it to other posts. So, I think......why people takes Quran as handy work of Muhammad pbuh as i heard at other forums. Can a mere person "Muhammad (pbuh)" was more intellegent than Biblical gods to define Jannah in a single statement? How it could be possible?

Surely, Quran is challenging to all:

2:23) And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura (or a single statement) like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true.
2: 24.) But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject Faith.

Who are they?

And are there limits to what 'they desire and wish'?

Who are they?

It is defined if we step a verse back to 25:15, states;

Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment).

And are there limits to what 'they desire and wish'?

Does anyone wish to limit your desires? If so then all is cleared as defined in very first:

25:16. "For them there will be therein all that they wish for: they will dwell (there) for aye: A promise to be prayed for from thy Lord."
