guru nanak said that too till it became an 'organised' religion ie councils, commitee members, hierarchies, rules, regulations, prescribed holy days, authoritative texts, self proclaimed and charismatic 'leaders', external 'symbols' [the 5 K's]; still, some sikhs are eskewing that for the more mystical inner meanings...
