my faiths being tested alot these days.. lol but the bible says not to worry because it only causes harm...

whats mono? Antibiotics ['anti life'] shouldn't be given to viruses, only bacterial infections; here they've wisened up to not continually prescribe them as they lose efficacy [yogurt is good for replacing the 'good' bacteria thats been wiped out].
My daughter had a similar experience; went to doctor who even mentioned glandular fever yet prescribed penicillin; l get a call when l am elsewhere from her saying she has a rash all over and her lips had swollen up so much she was real worried so l told her to phone an ambulance to go to the emergency hospital; the doctor there said she shouldn't have gotten the antibiotic in the first place.
We have placed so much faith in allopathic medicine and doctors who have relied on the pharmaceutical industry for so long it seems they are running the show, all we want is a pill! Ironically l have been trying to get a dose of penicillin [as l hardly ever get/take it would be beneficial] yet the doctor is unwilling to give me!

It seems like that is the way it is with most people on most topics/themes.
Most people are too lazy or too busy to attend to the important aspects of life.
Overspecialization and faith in the "specialists".
Some people are so bad this way that if you don't have a degree of some sort they won't even consider anything you may say as you are not qualified (in their eyes) therefore your opinion doesn't count.
 
You really do have to watch your own back, and therein lies an indicator that we might give too much authority to socialist powers. They screw us eventually. The FDA can not really insure safe medicine, so lets admit it officially and drop the pretense of government perfection, wherein the abuse of power lies.

Too true, and hope your son is getting better.

Here in the UK, I've kind of given up on doctors and kids. The bottom line with babies and young children seems to be: if they aren't limp, and are still breathing, then it's probably nothing.
 
the doctor didnt know my son had mono when he prescribed the amoxicillan he prescribed it because my son had a bad infection in his throat that wasnt strep. There is no way they would have known he had mono if I hadnt told them to test for it so it would have been this huge ordeal that probably would have ended up traumatizing my 6 yo one way or another.

Dont get me wrong though I believe antibiotics and antivirals have their uses.. last fall my son had a very bad case of pnemonia that had been caused by a staph bacteria.. he was very sick and without the meds he would probably have died so there is good with the bad.
 
A large % of the therapies used in allopathic medicine have never been subject to scientific testing standards, but have been "grandfathered in" under FDA regulations.
With the same breath, however, they then refuse health food and vitamin companies from claiming therapeutic benefits from the use of many supplements, herbs, homeopathics, vitamins and minerals, even though some have been used in treating conditions for thousands of years.
It appears that they protect with one hand (the very expensive and profitable allopathic market) and taketh away with the other (the very affordable/unpatentable holistic market).

Why don't they be reasonable and allow something like:
"though this product has never been subject to modern standards of efficacy, it has been used for many years in the treatment of...."
