Need a little technical help...

I don't know if this is the forum to be posting this in, but I'm not really sure where to go, so I thought this would be as good as any.

A few days ago I uploaded a pic from my computer for my avatar/icon/picture and I can't see it when I post. Is there a time frame in which I can't have one? Or....what?
