Yes, as my accent sounds, I'm from the American South, specifically, Texas ;)
I'm a bit of a new-ager, too, so I may be hanging out there for a while; that and mythology, as it's another strong interest.

I've always liked reading this site and forums. I learn a lot here and hope to learn more. I'm sure I'll see y'all around :)

Hola, amigo.

A new-ager in Texas? I didn't know such people existed. Talk about mind expanding!

Welcome to IO!

I know you didn't ask for this, but I couldn't help noticing your avatar's pic didn't blend seamlessly with the background color.

Here's a PNG of your file with transparency that will allow it to blend with whatever background its placed.

No need to thank me. I'm just trying to save the world, one Photoshop file at a time.

Did I boost those colors too much? How about this one...

Hi citizenzen!
Thanks for the welcome :)

And, we're not all Baptists and football worshipers here (the second "religion" of Texas) ;)

I was raised Episcopalian but dropped out of it in my teens. It's a pretty laid back religion (around here, anyway) and always reminds me of Eddie Izzard's depiction of the Church of England :D

I think my new age interests blossomed when I started having spontaneous OBEs in the mid-70s and my teen years...

The avatar pic I chose is just one of the many this site had to offer, so the color-balance problems are theirs :p

At the time I picked it, I didn't have posting privileges yet, so if I can add my own now, I likely will add some kind of centaur, like Chiron :)

Thanks for the effort, though. I have Photoshop, too, but usually do minor color-adjustments with ThumbsPlus. It's a great organizational and adjustment program for images, if you haven't heard of it. I've been using it for many years and go to it before I open Photoshop...

Okay, I picked Donna Barr's Stinz instead. If you don't know who or what that is, here's the wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stinz

I may change this in the future as well, if it doesn't look right...

Welcome K. I sometimes refer to myself as a "New Ager," too for lack of a better descriptor. Though saying you're a New Ager is about as precise as saying you're a male given it seems that term can encompass so many belief systems as to defy an accurate depiction of an individual's particular belief system. earl

Thanks earl :)

I understand about the "New Ager" definition, since I don't really have any set belief system, either. I do tend to pick and choose, much to the chagrin of some. But if it doesn't ring true to my sensibilities, then it ain't me :)

g'day greymare :)

At first glance I thought you might be Australian or from NZ. My girlfriend lives in NZ and we are planning on starting the immigration paperwork this year to move her over :)
