The Darkness of Unknowing

So where are you going with this then?

Stupid is repeating ones mistakes, when they know better.

Not knowing better is just ignorance.
But knowing that there are important things one does not know and doing nothing to remedy the problem is stupid.

Great Historic Stupid ?? Maybe provide some info/comments on how you see this so we are on the same page.

"Stupid is repeating ones mistakes, when they know better." ---otherwise it would be called insanity.

Remember: The crazy man repeats the same task over and over again thinking that the next attempt will yeild a new outcome.

Ironically, "The Scientific Method" utilises the same methodology ---but they keep a note book & they DO make a slight change each time . . . until the ideal "RECIPE" is reached.

In the beginning every soul has faith. Then how is it that man loses this quality which nature has bestowed on him? He loses it by the knowledge of names and forms. As he grows he covers up his faith with the knowledge of names and forms, calling that 'learning'. At every step in his progress towards knowledge he compares things and considers some things better than others, saying of one thing, 'This is true', of another, 'This is false', 'That is what I can believe and rely upon' and 'This is what I cannot believe and rely upon'. The one thing he calls true, the other false; but in reality neither is true or false. It is only at the beginning of knowledge that man passes through this stage. Later, when a person has raised himself above ordinary knowledge, he arrives at a stage when he is able to say, 'All that I have called true is not true, and all I have called false is not false.' He finds that whatever difference there is, is only a difference of comparison. Hazrat Inayat Khan
Which is to say, you can only begin to understand by not trying to understand.
That would put a few theologians out of work! :)

Great Historic Stupid: Voting for politicians of the "opposite" party while believing that this will cause fundamental changes in the way your government does things.

Do you realize how daft you sound?

The scientific method is the same except that it's different...

Buy a tabloid and read the contents . . . it is a document that is 95 % adverts.

Talk about "buying a bill of sale".

The sport sections are for the intellectuals to past the time between shifts in the mines.

The exact 'scientific method' required for all patents, worth their weight in gold, required unlimited repetitions to achieve the right recipe ---gun powder was not born over-night. Not to worry, there are so will be so many more to carry on the tasks where the lay-abouts left off.

Dogbrain: Do you realize how daft you sound?

Bhaktajan: Welcome my friend to "IRONY". Yes, It will mock us all. The dogs may bark but the caravan moves on. Don't be cynical.

My new World Manifesto:

We the Stupid see that it is an concominant fact that we the people of Stupidity incarnate, . . .

Let us make Stupidity a scientific fact of life.

Let us make Stupidity a basis for legal offense.

Let us bring down our Taxes by exposing the roots of Stupidity.

. . .

I nominate a New Movement to Codify "Stupidity" as a Legal definition. But yes, the above is also written as a satire ---yet art reflects life too.

The New Watch Word is:

"FELONY STUPID":

A term originally used by members of the legal profession
to describe clients or members of the general public
who make statements that are totally illogical or impossible to defend.
