programmes worth catching up on [uk only probably]

you don't actually have to pay their license.
Just mark it junk mail and return to sender....maybe add a box of bricks under 50 lbs.

yeh l think a lot do that but soon if you do dont pay am sure they will have the capability to flip a switch..its all going digital soon anyways. l have to use a sky disc which l no longer subscribe to and so cannot access many programes eg channel five. thank heavens for the internet.

The internet will also soon be a paying situation.
There are several schemes already underway that I have heard of.
Free browsing will be history then and so will forums like this.
Pay per post will see attrition in the members, as who will want to then.

sometimes paying the tv license is worth it!

Nothing is worth extortion.... :)

People will tax anything, and get away with anything they can. It's sickening.

I, however, don't believe the internet will be taxed.

Rather, I believe the financial situation will completely collapse and then the mark of the beast will come.

I thought so too.

Horizon does tend to spin stuff out and over dramatise everything though - it was almost like it was written by Douglas Adams.

wish I understood all those equations though, for all we know those physisists could all be lying to us just so they can ponce around and build big machines, as lets face there are not many people who actually understand that stuff and by their own admission it does not make sense, fascinating stuff though.

Facebook is raising mega finance on the back of its advertising potential, and there's talk of setting up a Facebook bank scheme (similar to PayPal) so you can purchase via your facebook account.

Everything will have tio be paid for in the end.

Yeah for some goods you can choose to purchase them, you don't -have- to purchase anything FB already has a finance system... Just they do not work in Stirling, Ruble, Shekel, Yen, Dollar whatever but have their own type of currency *shrugs* The internet experience will always be free though. Always loopholes, breaches and secret passages. I think it is a growing thing something such as a government cannot control it's bigger than that. ;D

How TV ruined your life. (Charlie Brooker)

Priceless!
