I have a question concerning Jesus.....

invisible...god?therefore you create an image of Him being invisible?invisible is something humans can think of, something that can exist in the creation but god is above an greater than the craetion...i was always lead to beleive in christianity that god was in heaven...how?He craeted heaven, why would He be in the craetion, He is far better than the creation

god is invisible in the sense that no one but the son has seen the father.

John 17:3, RS: "[Jesus prayed to his Father:] This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God ["who alone art truly God," NE], and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." (Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as "the only true God.")

jesus being a man was subject to the law, therefore subject to the father, to whom he prayed as a man. it is not a denial of the divinity of christ, because god the father calls jesus god and others call jesus god, but it is an acknowledgement of the subserviant role jesus temporarily filled as a man on earth to die for our sins, that he acknowledges god the father in heaven from where his spirit came and whose will is to be done. jesus came from god not to do the will of man, but to do the will of god which he did perfectly as only god can accomplish, therefore he is that part of god that gives us a way to salvation.
"And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent,"

"And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life."

scripture harmonizes, it does not contradict.

My favorite "proof" scripture of the divinity of Jesus Christ:

Revelation 21:6-7

"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son."

Let's break it down, shall we?

1) Who is the Alpha and Omega in Rev 21:6?

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." - Revelation 1:8

"I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle....
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." - Revelation 1:10-13, 17-18

Is their any doubt that the Alpha and Omega is the Lord Jesus Christ? (if so, cross-reference the description of this being with the one in Revelation 19:11-16)

2) Who is able to give him from the fountain of the water of life in Rev 21:6?

"Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." - John 4:13-14

Again, this points to Jesus.

3) Who shall be their God in vs 7?

The same person who is speaking as the Alpha and Omega and the giver of the water of life in vs 6: Jesus!

Let's see it all together again:

"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega [Jesus], the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely [Jesus].
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God [Jesus], and he shall be my son." - Revelation 21:6-7 [inserts mine]

Seems pretty clear to me.

"For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. "

yes ,Jesus is our eternal father
Or, "Father Forever." Heb., ’Avi·‛adh´.
he will never die , and yes, he is a mighty God,
Or, "Mighty Divine One." Heb., ’El Gib·bohr´ (not ’El Shad·dai´ as in Ge 17:1, Sy, "Mighty God of times indefinite"; Lat., De´us for´tis.
but Jesus is not the Almighty God Jehovah , Jesus is a mighty devine one.another interesting thing that i noticed and found interesting is that he is a wonderful counseler,
Lit., "Wonder (Miracle) of a Counselor," or, "Wonder, Counselor," M; LXX, "The Angel of Grand Counsel"; Sy, "Wonder and Counselor." and of cause he is the prince of peace,
Or, "Peaceable Prince," that is, a prince giving peace. and when we think about it a prince is a son of a king . and the king is Jehovah God the most high . ,as the bible tells us . psalm 83;18

That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,

You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule
Or, "the princedom; the rule as prince." Heb., ham·mis·rah´; Gr., he ar·khe´; Lat., prin·ci·pa´tus.
will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. yes, Jesus was given this position in 1914 when the Ancient of days (Jehovah God) gave him the kingship of the heavenly kingdom goverment .
(Daniel 7:14) And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin. thrilling times indeed.

is this the correct place for pushing watchtower doctrine? i wont even comment on the date setting post here.. but for some to have to ignore someone in discussion to keep it sensible or for others to argue it constantly, it gets old.

Well, considering that this thread and the original question was made by a Jehovah's Witness, the answer would still be, no. You are correct in questioning the bringing in of other than Biblical references, in order to force a point.

Mee, by using Watch Tower material, you are doing all a disfavor (kind of like if I were to use Catholic Papal bulls to reinforce what I believe...it doesn't work, nor is it appropriate). Let's stick to the Bible more or less, for our point making, ok? ;)

Dear Quahom1,

One of many examples in scripture regarding Jesus diety...:D

Agreed. ;) I just never saw that one (and I'm all over the bible every day...). Ah, well just proves my mother's point..."You can read the Bible for the next 50 years, and will still find new things that you never saw before...that's what makes the Bible so interesting a read."

LOL, that is the third time this year that we agree on something with no exceptions...(don't you just love progress?) :D

so sticking to the bible, i have got my symbolic palm branch in my hand and i am welcoming Jesus as Gods reigning king.(Revelation 7:9) After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands............................... welcoming this king is the way to go ,
(Psalm 2:6) [Saying:] "I, even I, have installed my king Upon Zion, my holy mountain." yes Jesus is now a ruling king in the established heavenly kingdom goverment Daniel 2;44 its all happening in the time of the end.
