Four kinds of friends

I think there are four kinds of friends


Best friends which you can consider as your identical twins psychologically.

Good friends who are reliable most of the time and you can share some of your secrets with.

Friends who are good for hanging out with only "i guess".

Extra friends which you can dump any time.

what do you think?
 
To me a friend is one that looks out for your highest good, and nudges you back on your path.

Gang members have supposed friends, that support them on the wrong path...high fiving, congratulations and retelling of stories of robbery and assault and murder...

Thats a friend? Encouraging you to continue to do wrong?

I more and more want to watch the use of the word... There are many more associates, and acquaintances than friends.

my friends and i used to have a very nice friend but suddenly she stopped talking to any of us when she moved to another country with her husband and kids.

she does not send emails, call or anything as if she has vanished from the world.

we were friends for many years.

i think she dumpped me for no reason.
 
I feel like friendships are like waves on an ocean--sometimes their active and dynamic in full expression, and sometimes their settling down or rising up, and sometimes they've returned back to once more merge with the ocean itself. In the latter case, I don't think it means that the friendship is "gone" or that that person is "no longer a friend." Instead of something being lost, it's just hibernating. Or taking a different form. Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt sometimes though!:eek:
 
I have friends with whom I havent corresponded with in many months, some even years. but they are the kind of friends that even when we do get in contact, its like it was only yesterday. (some family member too, I might add).
Just because they havent contacted you in a while, doesnt mean they have "dumped" you. Just bear with them.
Friends are the family you pick....... family, on the other hand, are what you are given. lol
