Coincidence Definition...

See Wil, that's why I bought a cell phone, so when I go walking down the street mumbling to myself it appears that I'm doing something constructive. :p
hee hee...

I remember back in the 80's before bluetooth...eye had a corded earpiece/mike outta my 'bagphone' and would walk around talking to myself in DC... Of course I was not alone. (Reagan had defunded the asylums and trippled our homeless, many of which still needed treatment and care....)

But oh the looks I got. Especially since I have a tendency to talk with my hands.

I am not making the pattern, I'm identifying the coincidence.

You are right things coincide every moment of every day....

But lets look at what I posited....

Opportunity is said to knock, another saying says when one door closes another opens....

But if i am not aware...conscious...I don't see the opportunity, I don't see the open door.

If I am making choices to be aware, if I am looking for open doors I identify, see what I would perceive as a coincidence....when in reality I by my choices, by my awareness, 'got lucky'.

Anyone could have got lucky....but they chose not to be aware, not to be conscious they walked right by and didn't see that moment where preparation met opportunity...

Wil,

Thanks for the response. I think I was erroneously refuting something other than what you were originally intending to express.

Coincidences are the consequences of our conscioiusness and conscious choices.

thoughts?

I would disagree, considering that coincidences are things that occur independently of our conscious will. Does it make sense?
