Parables

I know full well about the concentration camps but they did do satanic type stuff that I prefer not to talk about. If you ever watch the history channel watch hitler and the occult.
Look I know I cannot convince you of something that you either dont understand or refuse to believe but GODS power is literally opposite of things that harm life. Say for example there was fire coming from a source that was harmful to life if gods fire were to hit that fire it would consume it . This power is far greater than any evil power. Michael and the Archangels use this in battle. However can we at least agree on one point that everyone should start trying to care about each other and that god is love and love is the greatest thing that exists.

yes, i know, as i said, but my point was that i don't think they'd have done a great deal of harm if they'd merely stuck to that as opposed to physically murdering people.

or, alternatively, if you ever read books, there are a number of good ones on this subject.

Look I know I cannot convince you of something that you either dont understand or refuse to believe
certainly not without an effort to at least construct a viable argument of some sort that relies on evidence other than what you think is the hidden message of a sci-fi movie.

yes, but this is *yet more* assertion. you haven't even dealt with the quote from isaiah.

However can we at least agree on one point that everyone should start trying to care about each other
indeed, yes and hurrah.

and that god is love and love is the greatest thing that exists.
er... no. i don't think this stands up at all as a proposition, let alone without any argument given to support it.

What is a parable?

When did parables emerge in Judaism?

Finally, are parables popular in Jewish culture today?

Thanks!

A parable is just another word for an allegory. Parables emerged in Judaism since the allegory of the Genesis account of creation. Yes, very much so. I, myself, make use of parables or allegories to illustrate a message. There is a lot of freedom in parables or allegories.

The bible as alot of religous texts is a language, a divine language. do you reason the words to mean what you think they mean with a carnal mind or do you reason them with the divine mind. When you reason them with the divine mind you come out with true meaning. Moses, Buddha, Ghandi, Mohammad, Jesus ect all knew this language and the true meaning.

Hey Donnann, the only way to convince a Jew about something is to handle the Scriptures with expertise. And when I say the Scriptures, I am talking about the Tanach which was the only Scriptures Jesus used to name the Word of God. Quote your assertions in those Scriptures, and we can have a serious talk.
