Looking for Bahai for interfaith service...

We are having an interfaith service on September 8th in Bowie, MD and are looking for a representative of the Bahai faith to speak for a few minutes...

It is five minutes...on the faith, the worship, the prayer, what it means to you whatever....simple sharing.

PM me if anyone has any ideas.

We currently have representatives from Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Native American, Sufism, Zoroastrianism

Still looking for folks to represent an African Tradition, Bahai, Buddhism, Confuciansim, Shintoism, Taoism

Yeah, been there, done that, there is no Bahai Community of Bowie, it appears that website just picks large towns so search engines will pick it up.

We have had a rep from a nearby Bahai center for the past 10 years...he unfortunately has never been able to honor the five minute provision. Which when you have a service and singing, and 8-10 speakers...the lack of cooperation has not benefitted the situation.

What you could do is call that number mentioned 1‑800‑22UNITE (1‑800‑228‑6483) and request contact with a Baha'i nearby.. that's about the best I can suggest at this time..except I'll pray that your event will be meaningful and fulfilling!:)

That may simply indicate that Bowie is uninncorporated.

There definitely do exist Baha'i communities of Prince Georges County North and South (as well as other communities in College Park and Greenbelt)!

So perhaps you should be contacting one of these. (Bowie is probably in PG North, but not living in that area, I don't know where the border between the communities is.)
