The Show at Giving Alms

As if enough were not the reasons to bash Jews within and outside the NT, the hypocrisy to put up a show at giving alms has won its place as a result of Paul's boundless hatred for the Jewish authorities.

It is in Matthew 6:2. The Jews are charged with being hypocrites for blowing a trumpet before them in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of being generous at giving alms.

As usual, false charges with the intent to promote the Pauline policy of Replacement Theology. Jews don't give alms; they make donations; and, mind you, in most cases, anonymouly. We believe that charity in the form of alms only corrupts both, him who gives and him who receives. Moreover, it does not achieve its goal, because it only increases beggary. IMHO, this kind of charity should be forbidden by law, especially in our present society. Therefore, the NT bashing of the Jew at giving alms is tantamount to slander.

BTW, does it matter to consider the motifs in the heart of the giver, as long as the charity is done? Let the giver make a party at giving. Perhaps it counts before man, but not before the Lord. As long as the need of the receiver is satisfied, the feelings of the giver are not important.

Anyways, ask the begger who he loves more, the one who gives a meager alm from the heart or the one who gives a fat one out of his vanity. There is no need to guess the answer. It is clearly obvious. The beggar is not interested in how one gives, as long as he gets what he needs. But as I have said above, we don't give alms; we make donations. Thus, neither party gets hurt; one by humiliation and the other by vanity. And we give anonimously, as none is aware of each other.

What is the more important then, the giver or the beggar? According to this thread, the beggar, but he should be helped through a kind of wellfare organization, although the human element in charge is very prone to corruption.
