My basic intro essay on Taoism for your review

I would urge you to look at the works of Wang, Dan, Wen and Yang on Process Philosopgy and Taoism (interesting native Chinese Daoist interest there). Look up on Google scholar or "Concrescence", an Autrailian Process Philosoph Journal, or the proceedings of Sophia University (Tokyo and Bejing, I think).

Good essay!

:)

I wholeheartedly agree with radarmark regarding process philosophy and Taoism. Taoism focuses more on processes of change than it does on things. It is quite holistic in its approach, with everything being interconnected--and counter-intuitive in many of its approaches to affect change.

My favorite Taoist quote (yes I quote it quite often)
"Therefore it is said, 'In representing the Dao of Heaven, one uses the terms Yin and Yang, and in representing the Dao of Earth, one uses the terms Soft and Hard, while in representing the Dao of Man, one uses the terms Love and Righteousness.'"
--Zhou Dunyi, Explanation of the Diagram of the Supreme Ultimate, quoting the Yi of the I Ching.
