1] What are examples of having recieved "Good Karma"?
How does one obtain the rewards of inheriting/garnering "Good Karma"?

2] What are examples of having recieved "Bad Karma"?
How does one obtain the rewards of inheriting/garnering "Bad Karma"?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Can we highlight obvious cases of "Good" & "Bad" Karma?

Let me give an example:
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Good Karma:
Born to a rich family

or

Bad Karma:
Born to a poor family

::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Any one else like to add examples of Good and Bad Karma?

a] Never mind the weather! What about the regular occurrence of
"MASS-MULTI-VEHICLE CRASHES"

b] Never mind the Global warming! What about the regular occurrence of
"CAR CRASHES that result in Gas-Tank explosions"--- as a Kid, I thought this was only in the movies & TV, that a car's fuel tank would "ALWAYS" explode!
Now it seems every car accident is accompanied by a fuel tank explosion. Is due to wider media coverage???

c] There is a MIS-PRINT on Wikipedia! [as of today 26 Dec 2012]:

Good karma - driving carefully, following traffic rules.
Bad karma - driving carelessly, not following traffic rules.

Karma in Zen Buddhism is not viewed literally, like that, but it rather symbolizes the birth of attachment to ego related things, their death(loss of interest, detachment, or that they have been achieved), and rebirth as in new attachment.
For instance:

Bob wants a sports car, a 2013 SRT Viper.
He buys that, he is now content.
Now Bob wants a muscle car, an old Mustang GT.
Death & Rebirth

Why keep track?

That for whom karma is relevant is a delusion.

Karma means "action." What you think, intend, and do all affect your mind. If you cultivate beneficial habits, you will reap the benefits of this via having a healthy mind. If you cultivate unhealthy habits, you will risk developing an unhealthy mind.

Whether healthy or unhealthy, in believing yourself the doer, you solidify notions of distinction which cause us to remain within delusion. We must see we are only the observer of action, that what we are is ever still and silent. If we continue giving attention to thoughts of distinction, we fuel them and that energy will seek a new form to fulfill itself - which is Buddhist rebirth.

Again, all that is necessary is to question the validity of the I thought, for all else rests on it.

Do you make the distinction between spirit and matter? Do you consider matter to be only illusion, and only spirit to be real, or vice versa? I consider both spirit and matter to be real.

Oneness cannot be in distinction.

Real and unreal is another distinction.

Why can't you just be here? Defining the experience is not useful and just brings us away from this miracle.

Returning to the thread topic, if we are worried about how this moment is effecting our overall karma, we are not really here.

Just be.

It is thinking which subtracts from our expression of love now.

Unreal is 'not true', 'only our imagination', like 'divine'. We are just here, that is why all this 'Kolavery Di' (Indians would understand. A very popular recent song, meaning in Tamil 'all action, all agitation, etc.' Listen to it at Kolaveri Di featuring Nevaan Nigam - YouTube). We should be true to our 'dharma' (fulfillment of our duties and engaging in righteous action), there will be no worry. Love also is a thought.

If love is only a thought, then it is impossible to say anything at all.

Religion itself is only an attempt to know true love, beyond the emotion or the thought, but the reality of absolute love. The very word religion means "to rebind" as yoga means "to yoke, unite" and love is the state without boundary, it is a union, a dropping of ego, of all notions of separation.

Nonduality is nothing but another way of saying love, exactly because love has become meaningless, yet it is a wrong way of saying it, for nonduality is against duality, love includes both.

It is the same with Dharma, this word means our nature, which is not different to what I mean by love.

I do not disagree that we must come to a place which is beyond thought, words are not the real thing, but if we are not permitted at least our feeble attempts to say it, what is there left for communication?

Of course, why communicate it at all? Here, great bliss and pleasure arises in it, but this doesn't justify sharing, it is another desirous pursuit. Ultimately, this is all that moves me at this point in my life though, this need to share what has been found here, otherwise I would be a hermit living in some cave.

Yet all words are just thought, all knowledge mere concepts in the mind.

Dharma, Love, God, Brahman, Buddha, Allah, Reality, Truth, Self, Tao.

None of this is something more than a word, knowledge we have put weight on.

Perhaps it is better to say peace.

Love or compassion is active peace, silence is inactive peace.

Again it would be a thought though, but perhaps a more correct statement?
