Could natural selection have led to religion?

Hmmm, seems I've been outed from my closet as a post Baha'i and made sport of to boot! :p

So 'Alexa,' have you been an imposter all along or did someone hijack your signature just for the occasion?

sign me, duely chastened,
lunamoth

Hi lunamoth,

Oh là là. Not a very good thing to post when you are tired. I didn't sign my previous post and it looks really strange with another signature. I was too happy to find what the author thinks about the copyright and I forgot to sign it..

Nope, I cannot identify myself as a Baha'i.

So here you have this fragment in brackets as it should be to avoid any confusion :

I don't believe in either copyright or copywrong. Everyone is free to do what they want with anything I've written as long as strict honesty and fairness are used as guidelines. Taking statements out of context to try to convey a false impression of what I said, miscopying, misrepresentation, mischief, missiles, Mrs. Sippee and Miss Olenius are all forbidden, and all transgressions will result in the issuance of a fatwa declaring that each offender will have to listen for two weeks non-stop to gangster rap artists singing cowboy songs and cowboys doing rap music!
Thanks so much!

With genuine Baha'i love and good wishes to each of you!

David

I'm afraid I don't know two expressions you have used : "to be outed from your closet" and "made sport of to boot".

Can you tell me in other words what it means, please ?

Yours sincerely,

Alexa

I'm not lunamoth, nor do I play her on tv, but I'll try to answer your questions.

To be "outed" or to be "outed from one's closet" means to have a secret revealed about the person. Usually it is a secret that used to be considered dangerous or abhorrent (most often used in the gay community, but other communities have picked up the terms.)

To be "made sport of" sorta means to be made a joke of, but not in a negative sense (I think.) We'll have to wait for one of the British English speakers to fully translate this one. :)

I'll try to answer any questions you may have if I can.

Thanks Phyllis ! :) I don't have another question right now, but if I'll find other interesting expressions, I'll send you an S.O.S.

Hi alexa,

Phyllis is correct and I thought you were teasing me. :)

I see now the effect was unintentional.

cheers,
