More from Neil deGrasse Tyson vs. Creationists

I have had mixed feelings about this new version of Cosmos. But last week's episode on climate change is so cleanly laid out, the facts clearly explained, the opponent's views debunked, that this one episode alone should be required viewing by every person in the industrial world.

If one can watch this episode and come away still believing humans are not the primary cause, they would have to be considered in denial. Or that they have a financial incentive to ignore it.

Here are some more ideas from Neil deGrasse Tyson (the star of the TV series Cosmos) vs. Creationists. I hadn't thought about 6,500-light-year-limit-to-see-into-the-universe argument before. If the Creationists were right, we wouldn't be able to see any other galaxies!

He had me in the first episode, when he put on shades to watch the big bang.

I loved the original, but I haven't seen it in more than 30 years. I don't remember it all that well. Besides, we've learned a lot in that time.

It has had some minor issues, like the reference to the 'butterfly effect' without mentioning it is discounted.... all together two thumbs up.
