I will start

1. My first name is Maggie, named after my great-grandmother most people assume it's short for Margret but alas it's just Maggie
2. I've been playing flute for 20 years.
3. My favorite room in the house is the kitchen. I love cooking.
4. I have Crohns
5. My daughter was born while my husband was overseas with the military but he got to "be there" on video chat through the birth.
 
Hi Maggie,

I joined about a month ago so you can find my "newbie" post easily enough if you want. I am also Jewish but an atheist. I go to Humanistic Judaism services. My kids are grown and we have 2 grandchildren. My husband and I got a dog last fall. I play penny whistle with a community dance band.

1. I am a wife. My husband is now disabled. He suffered devastating brain damage after any aneurysm burst in his brain in 2006.

2. I am a mother to three birth daughters, 44, 40 and 38. We also have 2 adopted sons 41 and 29. The eldest has moderate learning difficulties, the younger has Down's Syndrome; his learning problem are quite severe.

3. I am a granny to four grandsons 12, 10, 9, 8 and a granddaughter 6.

4. I enjoy my hobbies, digital art, poetry and writing. I like writing short stories for children where the child is the hero/heroine of the story.

5. My kids tell me I am eccentric/senile, but they love me really!:D

I guess I'm most known around here for being that goofy Christian Minister who presides over a Hindu Temple, but what you may not know is:

1. I use to play lead guitar in a rock band in the early 70's. The band never really took off, but we did have some local notoriety.
2. I was once the manager of a Woolworth.
3. My wife and I have no children of our own, but I've been instrumental in raising my widowed sister-in-laws 5 kids. All grew up well and not an ax murderer in the lot I'm proud to say!
4. I waited until after marriage before... you know, as did my wife and neither of us has ever had any other partners.
5. I love cats.
 
Hi, in no particular order and including a bonus fact!
1. I used to be able to drive a car in a figure of 8 whilst juggling
2. I breed Border Collies
3. I am a panenthesis (Not panthesist)
4. I am suffering from hayfever
5. I continually fail not to get angry on the telephone dealing with customer service (Misnomer)
6. It is my 5 year wedding anniversary soon
 
Don't know if you'd call these fun facts, but.....

1- I've never actually had a job. Dad taught me 2 things. How to make a dollar when I need it and not to worry about it when I don't.

2- I never learned to swim. Lots of water near by growing up, just never interested me.

3- I had planned to become a teacher, but decided I liked taking pictures better.

4- I had not seen my wife in person prior to our wedding.

5- Broke my right arm roller-skating off the porch roof when I was 8. Enjoyed the flight, but the landing was a killer!
