Cats

My dearly departed 'Key Kat' speaking Hindi and English
The audio of this video was enhanced for clarity by lowering the noise gate and changing the pitch, but it was not edited in any way. Take a look.

That cat did not talk! You are trying to brainwash our brains with such gobbledy gook.

If I only there was a cat for each time someone planned world domination it would totally rewrite hisstory.

I have a cat who actually comes trotting out to meet me at the door when I come home. His brother - eventually I run into him somewhere and he gives me the "Oh. You're home." look.
must be related to my cats. Mine do talk (cat sounds expressing ideas like "don't squeeze", "I am here", "I found it" ) How about yours?

I think my current fuzzy friend has the ability to simply vanish anytime he wants. Sometimes I'll search and search the entire house to no avail. Then, when I recite the magic words, "Where's Jack, can't find him" there he'll be right at my feet.

Tovarish, aka She-Who-Demands-to-be-Obeyed, is kinda like Jack, except I have to meow before she'll appear (unless I'm undergoing a medical emergency or I'm soaking wet from a cold rain, then she'll appear without any prompting from the studio audience.) She's already come up with at least four lairs in the new apartment (not including the box springs) and she's pretty much hidden from any/all "intruders" (although the telephone line installer caught a glimpse of her tail before she vanished into one of the lairs.)

She made an appearance Sunday afternoon when my friends "called" for a video conferencing call (SWDtbO delayed the conference for a few minutes while the others just gushed about her.) They hadn't seen her for a while irl, so they had a right to go nuts about Her Greyness.

I just learned that is my cat's new hiding place. Wouldn't be so bad if she didn't make such a loud fuss about getting herself in there...it is like she wants a treat for recognition of just how agile she is.

We have a couple dozen cats on the farm at any given time. The mice population is off the chart down here and cats are a necessity. Much more effective than snakes of which we also have an abundance!

It is said that a cat once died from having a care. -- paraphrased from The Marvelous Land of Oz by Frank Baum

Tovarish is in the doghouse right now

Instead of taking her to get her shots today, I ended up going to the urgent care clinic due to her tantrum (I'm typing with one hand due to the fact that she let her displeasure be known with her full external armament [no bites, just all-out scratching].) I've counted at least ten, and those are the ones that are exposed (the majority are hidden under a gauze bandage.)

Oh no! So sorry to hear that Phyllis. Hopefully you heal quickly and Tovarish shapes up and flies right toward no more tantrum. I doubt it makes you feel any better, but I have eight puncture wounds in my calves and ankles after my cat concluded she was displeased with my food offerings to her this past weekend.

Thanks for the condolences.

An experiment: try doing your everyday stuff with just one hand (perhaps sitting on the other or placing the other hand out of the way) for just one or two days.

I'm just grateful that I'm ambidextrous.

I can't imagine days of that limitation. I ate, showered, accessed my computer, and typed this response using only one hand. I'm embarrassed how long (and poorly) it took me to accomplish these tasks. I do not have share your ambidextrous abilities.
