Hello,

This is my take on a issue that many churches is facing.
I want to state that this is not a attack on Christians, but if it fit you than seek change.

I notice the main reason that people avoid churches today is because they are constantly are being judge by people when it even their first visit to the church.

I mean a person who work, or have street clothes on are quickly gossip about and judge without even being understood of their situation or problem.

How is this Christian or Christ like when this is the person first time at the church?

Another one is the congregation makes a person feel left out and have favoritism towards certain members.

I am going to end with this even though I have a lot, but churches now do not reach out to people in their area; they only stay with those who is already there, instead of bringing in new members.

If you are agnostic and even atheist add on, let us know your experiences with Christians and Church.

I hear you, and that is an issue for many... feeling welcome in church is important.

At my church we have everything from suits and ties to jeans and shorts....from women in fancy dresses and big hats to ladies wearing their leathers and taking off a motorcycle helmet and wearing a scarf on their hair... I am sure there is judgement, that is normal.

If you are seeking... give this a shot... maybe you'll find what you are looking for, maybe not...

I'm not a Christian, and I haven't spent much time in churches. But to my mind, the negative image of Christians comes from the fundamentalists, insisting that gays are evil and that everyone not like them (including other Christians) will go to Hell.

It's the old problem that the loudest, most obnoxious subgroup gets mistaken for the entire group. It's the reason why the word "atheist" conjures images of Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins telling everyone else that they're deluded idiots.

Good people who are Christians, or atheists, don't get noticed.
