No second coming

Which Revelations? Or are you speaking of the book of Revelation? Yes we are aware of what the bible says... I am discussing the revelations as reported of the Vatican.

I reckon Jesus died 2000 years ago and will stay dead.

The Vatican will put a good spin on just about anything I suppose. The way I understood it and as Rabbi Segal explained at our Hindu Temple last year, the book of revaluations is really not what's in dispute. The Messiah will be coming. The only question; is this the 1st coming or the 2nd? Jews say 1st, Christians say 2nd. More complicated than that of course, but that's the gist of it.

Interesting take from Judaism... I do like the thought of the book of Re-evaluations though!

To me the book of Revelation is as important to not read literally as Genesis or Jonah...

The Vatican really said this?

The Vatican defended Jesus’ broken promise, claiming “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments.

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs.” added Cardinal Salvadore. “We all make promises we can’t keep when we’re drunk. Jesus was no different.”

We could undermine every teaching from Jesus with "he was probably drinking wine." I find this report unbelievable. I refuse to believe it!

I find them all unbelievable....but I keep seeing them pop up and don't find any hoax or urban legend or snopes site denying it...

Seems silly

I found a few references to this but, as you said, nothing discrediting it as a hoax on any of the standard sites. The clearest evidence I've found about this being unbelievable is that there is a problem with the name of the cardinal. This is the most straightforward response I came across: http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/religion/artikel.php?ID=307273

This has been going around for over a year...

Vatican says Jesus ain't coming back, no end of times...

hoax? thoughts?
I havnt heard that from them why would they say that they go by the bible and it does talk about delivery and resurrection and jesus coming back.
