Water witching....well witchin...

On the side of mysticism there's no direct evidence water witching is possible due to physical processes. It still appears magical, and while the scientists think birds navigate using magnetic fields we still don't know exactly what magnetic fields are. It remains unproven whether magnetic fields, gravity fields or any other fields are involved in water witching. It actually appears as if certain individuals are psychically talented and/or possessed by helper spirits. Maybe they are just witches.

Not bad over the course of 70-75 years. That's a pretty good sample size.

Ours is a fairly wet region compared to those in the North and west, but every 3 years or so the cisterns run low and he's called upon to apply his gift. Although, to hear him tell it, it's the birds that have the gift. He's just relaying the message.
