Hello,
A little about my background. In the 60's I was born into a Methodist extended family in New York. In the 70's my immediate family moved to California and converted to Islam. As I became of age in the 80's I became Born Again. In the 90's I became Agnostic, and began a search for what I really believed. In 2004 I found the Unitarian Universalist Church which allowed exploration and decent. I now call myself a Spiritual Humanist, and was ordained as a Spiritual Humanist minister. I find myself studying Noetic Science. I am a member of the Son's of the American Legion, and just elected our squadrons chaplain. I've also been slightly involved in politics, including the founding of a new city. I believe that I've found my place in the universal religious landscape. I hope to learn a lot here, and share a little more.

Welcome!
Keep in mind that this is a very slow board, you might be able to energize it with your posts.

Just Curiosity, given the era, and apparent racial background, was this in any way associated with the "Nation of Islam" movement made popular by such people as Malcom X and Farakhan? Just a curiosity.
