It has been about a decade since Prober, InLove and Jack Halyard shed their mortal coils. :(

How many of us still remember them? I'm just curious.

Oh my, I do. Something sparks in a conversation, or an old thread opens, and I/take a trip.down memory lane....there are others who just moved on to other pursuits that I miss as well, some I see those social networks....others I just hope they are fine.

Reviewing old threads for the past week or so, I was reminded very strongly how much I miss these, as well as Flowperson. And cranky codger that he is, and I trust still alive and well, I miss Tao Equis (sp?). And now I learn Mr. Garaffa is no longer with us. Yes, too many old friends gone for too long.

You got that.... Miss that old horse as well... We couldnt reign him in and had to let him free...

Seattle pops in occasionally to throw guineas on me... And I wouldn't mind hearing the pounding of a cane and a harumph every now and again....or the contemplation of a bandit.

I wonder how WHKeith's doing now, too (just thought of the old bugger.) I'm not sure if I spelled his moniker correctly here. :(

He was posting here before I joined (just in case noone remembers who I'm talking about.)

I remember him. I had responded to a couple of his posts hoping for reply, which never came. Interesting poster to be sure, but also opinionated in my opinion...not that that is a disqualifying offense.

There was another old-timer back then, I wish I remembered the screen name, but I remember he threw pottery and took it to shows and such. And another fellow, bgruagach? Both were usually quiet, but would chime in from time to time on certain subjects.

I also miss Quahom and Greymare, Dauer and I presume Wil meant our resident loveable grump Bananabrain. Lunamoth and Path of One are also deeply missed, I trust all are well on their respective paths. I see Vajradhara still pops in from time to time, I think I miss him / her the most...it was "his" cajoling that made me do the deepest and hardest soul searching, for which I am grateful. Next on the influential list would probably be China Cat Sunflower, I hope Prober's brother is well.

Very few of those people ever wrote after I got here, but I have ready many of their posts when I did get here. In a way I also miss them.

Brucegdc! He was a moderator with vajradhara (we "talked" a bit about ceramics on a thread a while back iirc.) He actually threw pottery whereas I pour ceramics, plus he had better access to a kiln (I'm not sure if he owned a kiln or not...) His icon was the Gentle Giant....

I just remembered Paladin, Abogado del Diablo, and Snoopy

I think I know why I have been so introspective the past couple of weeks...It wasn't Mercury in retrograde afterall, that won't happen for a couple more months. Turns out I lost a family member, who lay for almost ten days before anyone found her. She lived a full life, but still no one expected it.

My condolences and the condolences of the IO :kitty: delegation for your loss.

This reminds me of a man who was found four years after he died (he was found by a city worker and a locksmith who were preparing the property for sale after the city foreclosed on it.) It was in a suburb of Milwaukee, in fact...

Thank you, Phyllis. You've always been the anchor here, the immoveable stone upon which this place rests.

I trust you and the kitty brigade are well.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of your loved one. My sympathy to you and your family.

And pohaikawahine and earl. I didn't know him well, but I did have some spirited but questionable discussions with Radarmark...not sure quite how to interpret his submissions.

I do hope Alex (17th Angel) is well, and as much as I kept a respectful distance, it feels odd not seeing AndrewX / taijasi around.
